Okay so I just realised, but in this one picture from the beginning of The Way of Kings, there is a river running through Hearthstone, Kaladin’s hometown. The name of that river? Windrunner River .

Now, as I highly doubt Alethkar has running water yet, this means Kaladin was likely drinking water from this Windrunner River for years. He likely used to water for baths, collected it for medical purposes, maybe even swam in it with Tien.

Take a moment to process this: Kaladin spent fifteen years of his life drinking and washing in Eau de Windrunner. He is now a Windrunner. I am irrationally angry.

Autism $peaks is despicable and they literally have proof on their website.

First off, over $15,000,000 was spent on salaries for Autism $peaks employees while less than $3,000,000 was spent on “helping” actual autistic people.

Second, $20,000,000 was spent on research when it has been proven year after year there isn’t a cure for autism and that autism doesn’t need to be cured.

Third, less than $3,000,000 was spent on family services and grants for autistic people when $40,000,000 was spent advertising for donations specifically for family services which doesn’t include the advertisements for research and other purposes. Putting all bias aside that’s a terrible outcome if you spend $40,000,000 on advertising that you’re going to help autistic kids and only $3,000,000 actually goes to them like.. technically they’re out $37,000,000 or more likely that $37,000,000 is going elsewhere.

Additionally almost every column in the Awareness, Advocacy, and Family Services section has more money allocated to various other categories than to the actual family services category which is scary. Family services should be one of the highest dollar amounts if not the highest.

Reality TV show idea: instead of “married at first sight” or “love at first kiss”, there’s a “band at first sight” show where a group of musicians (with varying skill levels and influences/styles) are put into a band together and have a week to figure out how to NOT sound like total shit playing together, before performing in front of Simon Cowell and/or other equivalent music judges.
