Awkward-Sultana's Text On Gif Tutorial
Hello! Here is a requested tutorial for putting nice, crisp text on a gif.
You will need an already created, edited and resized gif, made using your preferred editing tools. I use gif brewery for resizing and largely ezgif for editing.
Open that created gif in GIF Brewery. Here is the one I am using.
3. Hit the text option, circled in red here
4. It will pop up like this. I have mine auto-popualted because I use the same text and size every time, as most of my gifs are the same size (950x570). Here are my preferences: Text: Helvetica Neuve, Bold Italic Size: 46 You can choose whatever you like, I generally like this one and stick with it, but the size of the font sometimes change because the GIF size might change. Longer gifs have to be smaller, therefore I will often knock the size of the font down by 2 points as needed. Press OK.
5. Move the text box around as needed. I usually line the bottom line of the box up with the bottom of the gif.
6. Click create!
Here is the finished product.
The big thing is that the gif you use has to already be created, resized and edited, and the layer of text is added on top of that.
