I donât think any other ship has encapsulated my whole being as much as Chrobin has. genuinely!
The concept of loving someone so so so so much that your loyalty lies deep within themâloyalty that twists your will and bends your rules.
I remember reading a short essay on here, where someone pointed out that Chromâs strength AND weakness lies within his loyalty to those he cares about. I couldnât have agreed more.
Chrom is your typical noble manâcharming, handsome, and caring. He is fiercely protective of his sisters, his army, and most especially his love. He does not hesitate to pierce falchion deep into the flesh of anyone who dares to harm these people.
This drive becomes stronger when he ascends into Exalthood.
Additionally, his views areâfor the most partâprimarily utilitarian at best. What benefits most of his people is always the best option, regardless of the cost.
One life lost for the sake of millions, as one may put it.
Chrom has made decisions like these before in the game, most primarily when it comes to his enemies.
However, his character becomes so full of life and humanity when he willingly bends this rule for the sake of Robin.
Robin is THE vessel of destruction, meant to kill their people and all they care about. But what happens when the person whoâs meant to destroy you is the one you love most?
Some may say you must let them go. But for Chrom? He will embrace this darkness so tightly that heâd be willing to put himself and others to the torch if it meant heâd be with Robin.
For Robin, he becomes selfish. His loyalty is set deep into his heartâhis enemies make sure that it makes him bleed.
Chrom never minds it. He accepts it.
With this, he chooses to sacrifice millions for the sake of one life.
Itâs quite terrifying to think of, but I find it extremely endearing.
Oh to be loved so fiercely that your lover would defy fate and all oddsâeven choose suffering for millennia to comeâif it meant that youâd be safe and sound in their arms !!!!
