#facesareforfriends Okay, so I’m not good at things like this, but here I go; beneath my hardened shell of impassive unaffected eyes, there is a gooey sentimental filling of complex emotions that I work hard to try and understand every single day. I’ve spent the past week or so reminiscing about the time it took, and the time I spent, putting together my EP, and all the memories of three years of my life that went into that, and it was such a joyous experience with some of the most amazing people I have ever met. So on this one I refuse to erase a four year relationship with a friend from my life, just because things aren’t always easy to explain or deal with, but here I am, writing this at some obscene time of the night (or morning) overthinking about it, needing to get it off my chest. I intend not to overshare, but if anyone’s going to kill the elephant in the room on this one, then it’s going to be me. I can’t erase the way this person has affected my life and the contribution they have made to it, and the contribution they made to the EP that you will hear tomorrow. The only thing I can say is that life is too long to throw away the people that brought you joy, and that silence never fixes anything, no matter how much I want it to, no matter how much they may want it to, it’s always better to say too much, than never to say what you need to say. These days, saying nothing, that’s enough for me.
