What if I told you I made a new AU where after coming back from the Ever After Jaune is a little bit fae. And by a little bit fae I mean a LOT a bit fae
And what if I told you that this AU was heavily inspired by Soldier Poet King
And what if I called this the Fae-U because it sounds like AU and I like the pun

Fae-U ask: Does that mean Jaune takes things even more literally now? Like if some random thug sarcastically asks if he wants a piece of him will Jaune tilt his head and ask "Which piece are you offering?"
No, not really. Maybe at first, when he’s just gotten back to Remnant, but I think that’s true of canon Jaune as well. Speaking in metaphor for years will do that to you
Like I said, he’s just MORE fae, not entirely. Living for that long in a place made of stories means the Narrative starts to pay attention you, especially when you’re the only “protagonist” in a world made of NPCs
Fae-U Are any promise Jaune now makes magically binding? You know what they say about making deals with the Fae.
Oh yeah they totally are. The Ever After took his family motto “an Arc never goes back on their word” and made it very literal. Promises, even ones made accidentally, are BINDING now. The consequences for not following through depend on the severity of the transgression and/or how seriously the promise was made. He can only get out of it by the person he made the promise to “releasing” him from his word

The people of Vacuo aren't superstitious
But they're a LITTLE-stitious
They don't exactly start worshiping him, but they're the kind of people who know better than to fuck with that sort of thing. Think of it like how people nowadays are like "yeah fairies don't exist, but no way am I gonna step in that mushroom circle. That's how they get you."
So they don't really worship him (not in small part because Jaune REALLY REALLY tries to get them not to, the King role is heavy enough as it is without people coronating him with words) but they do give him like... tokens? Trinkets and items and little things that feel like they Have Meaning
