Have any nice dreams lately?

I seldom remember my dreams but two nights ago I dreamt I was riding a horse, which is something I have done in more than a decade (and I miss it). So it was very nice, but I also started jerking in bed to follow the motion of the horse bc brains are stupid and I woke myself up. What about you? I hope you had some nice dreams too!

Skull, sword, birthdays 💖 (it’s far from the WiTS server! This is a great idea that sounds really fun :D)

Birthdays are important, and especially birthdays like this one, where a child finishes their journey into adulthood. Gifts, especially, are important - talismans and safekeeping and guidance for the endless process of transformation going forward. 

The new adult has bent towards knighthood like a flower twists to reach for the sun, and so everyone puts their heads and favors and resources together to give xem a sword. Not just any sword, either - one sturdy and well-made, forged by someone who forges weapons and talismans like this as their calling and their passion. 

Xe straps the sword onto xir belt with the quiet respect and awe of someone receiving a truly important token of adulthood, and already xe seems to stand taller, the changes sinking into the framework xe is asking them to take. 

Xir sister, however, sly and nearing adulthood herself, gives xem a snake’s skull and a snake’s skin, and says, “Don’t get yourself into anything you can’t slither out of, and remember you can always change your skin.”

That goes into a secret pouch around xir neck, threaded on a chain, not strapped on xir belt for anyone to see. Xe doesn’t think xe will need to do anything as drastic as shed xir skin, but it is good to have the tools, just in case.

i’m glad i could help! I run this blog because I think its important to explore poly love and i think dave, jade and karkat really work well together; jade deserves happiness and love esp after all the shit she’s been through with isolation and her autonomy being taken over and over again.
