Back from the void with more fanart lol. I’ve had this specific done for a few months now and finally decided to post it. So, if you’re a Fairy Tail fan then please enjoy lol.
I've come across many fan interpretations of the next-gen children of Fairy Tail characters, including Hiro Mashima's official designs. So, I decided to create my own take on the Heartfilia-Dragneel twins—the twin daughters of Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia. Their names are Ende and Sey, with their surname hyphenated from both parents. Ende is the older twin, born two minutes before Sey. They're fraternal, not identical, which I feel fits Lucy and Natsu's dynamic perfectly.
In my canon, the twins are 16 years old and, naturally, members of the Fairy Tail guild like their parents before them. I'm still developing their backstories and finalizing their magic abilities, but both use a unique blend of Lucy's Celestial Spirit Magic and Natsu's Fire Dragon Slayer Magic. This fusion reflects canon, where Lucy inherited her magic from her mother, and the Heartfilia lineage is known for Celestial Mages. I’ve written out their magic systems in full detail, so if anyone's interested, let me know!
From a design perspective, I wanted the twins to visibly reflect traits from both of their parents while maintaining their own individuality. Sey inherited Natsu's bright eyes and facial structure, paired with Lucy’s fair complexion. Her hair is a soft, light pink—spiky like Natsu’s—but catches a blonde hue in direct sunlight, echoing Lucy’s signature color. Ende, on the other hand, has Lucy’s eyes and facial features, along with a more tanned skin tone like Natsu. Her hair is straight and fine like Lucy's, but jet black—a recessive trait inherited from Natsu’s late mother and brother, Zeref Dragneel.

Dokucha let out a small whimper as yet another thunder rang through the night. The wind rattled the windows, and the branches outside hit the latter in an ominous display that added to the already eerie night.
They had tried everything they could to make themselves feel better, from turning up all the lights in the room to covering themselves deep in the blanket to even putting on sound lacrima devices on their ears in an attempt to drown out the sound of the storm. But no matter how less scary they made the room or how much they muffled their hearing, the thunder and lighting continued to penetrate their defenses.
They tried to tell themselves that this was nothing, that they had gone through worse at the guild, even survived one of Erza-nee’s rampages following the destruction of her strawberry cake. They had watched how scary Juvia-nee could be when a poor soul had attempted to get a little bit too close to Gray-nii. But no matter how much they tried to remember their most scary encounters, the blinding lights followed by the deafening sounds seemed to top such thoughts
Finally, having had enough, they unfurled themselves from their cacoon and patted their way out of their room, dragging said blanket with them and hugging it tight to their chest as they made it down the hall. After a few steps, they had finally made it to their destination, their brother’s door. Now that they had reached it, however, they hesitated, wondering if this was the right choice. Would he be mad? What if he had just fallen asleep?
These thoughts were quickly erased as another booming thunder shook the house, prompting them to open the door, rush inside, and slam the door behind them. They took deep breaths as they leaned against it.
“What are you up to now?” a familiar voice rumbled, causing the three-year-old’s attention to snap to the large bed situated in the middle of the room. They let out a relieved sob as they took in the sight of their brother’s silhouette, still very much awake.
It turned out that the older Dreyar had not yet found sleep. Instead, he focused on various guild requests and attempted to find the best one for him and the Raijinshu to embark on.
“Well?”
“Xu!” They cried, running their way to the S-Class mage and jumping into the bed without hesitation, nuzzling into their brother.
“What is up to you?” Laxus grumbled as he dropped the papers on the bed in exchange for wrapping his hand around the weeping child.
“I ‘m scared,” they sniffled out at his brother’s questioning gaze.
“You had a nightmare?”
“No, I ‘m scared of the storm,” they mumbled, much to the shock of the mage. He found it surprising that his own sibling would be scared of a storm that composed itself of the very own attribute they often fussed over as he used it to battle.

“Never said anything about it when I ‘m the one using it.”
“It’s not the same!” They protested
“Big Brother lighting is amazing! And I know it will never hurt me, but the storm is following me! The lighting keeps falling next to my window!”
“You’re being ridiculous,” he huffed out, his words not matching his actions as he pulled the child closer to him, rubbing their back until their sobs had piped down into occasional hiccups.
Giving them a slow nudge to grab their attention, they slowly lifted his hand so that it was within the eyesight of the child, closing into a fist and willing his magic to surge through it.
Dokucha watched with awe as small sparks of lighting ran through their brother’s arm, creating a beautiful lighting display in the dark room that entranced them, much to Laxus’ amusement and relief.
Hoping to captivate their attention fully, he slowly pulled his palm open, and they both watched as the lighting around him slowly came together to create a small sphere of light whose light constantly pulsated and illuminated the room.
They let out a small gasp as he lifted his arm lightly, impulsing the ball out of his grasp and watching as it floated around the room. He gave a small chuckle as his sibling started laughing, watching as the static of the orb caused their hair to stand up in a hilarious display.
He watched with amusement as the ball of light made its way into their sibling, causing a small shock to travel through them.
“That tickles,” they giggled, giving a grin as laxus rubbed their head.
“Still scared?” He questioned, a small smile growing on his otherwise steely face as they shook their head.
“Can I sleep with you today?” They mumbled sheepishly
“Just for today,” he agreed, pulling them next to them and wrapping both of them with the blanket. The previous job requests that were laid in it were now long forgotten.
