Shelf Life: No Love Allowed by Kate Evangelista
It's all fun and parties until someone falls in love in this modern fairy tale from author Kate Evangelista. Caleb desperately needs a fake girlfriend. Either he attends a series of parties for his father’s law firm with a pretty girl on his arm, or he gets shipped off to Yale to start a future he’s not ready for and isn’t sure he wants. And sadly, the last unattached girl in his social circle has just made the grievous mistake of falling in love with him. Fortunately, Didi, recently fired waitress and aspiring painter, is open to new experiences. As the summer ticks by in a whirl of lavish parties, there’s only one rule: They must not fall in love! It’s time for another Sunday Currently!!!
I’m finally back in Manila and I have to say I’m so freaking tired and sad all at the same time. After, my relatives fetch me to the airport and after a few minutes rest, I (all by myself) went to the mall and buy my school supplies and other necessities for my room. It took me 3 hours to finish everything and carrying a lot of plastic bags on the way home! Talk about responsibilities, right?!
Tomorrow, I’m going to talk to my friends if they want to go and “gala”!!! I hope.
CURRENTLY
READING – Right now, I’m reading Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover. I found this book from Ate @theilustrado‘s book recommendation before; luckily, we have the same taste of books. Yaaaay! Also, sinnce today is Independence Day, I’ve been reading a lot of #RP612fic!! It’s hella crazy.
WRITING – This.
LISTENING – The “Trumpet Challenge” song. Not because I’m doing the ridiculous challenge but my neighbor’s played it so loud outside and forgot they have neighbors – who wants peace.
THINKING – On what to do with my room.
SMELLING – A body spray from Bench and loving it so far.
WISHING – That the stores near our Uni will have all the available sizes of Pharmacy uniforms.
HOPING – For a great a semester!!!!
WEARING – I’m still wearing my airport clothes – pink v-neck shirt and pants. Yep, I’m too lazy to change.
LOVING – My new school supplies!!!! CAUSE I AM OBSESSED WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES!!!!!
WANTING – To go back to my hometown. I miss them already! :(
NEEDING – A strong and fast internet connection! Yung mas mabilis pa kay Flash pero meh that would be impossible.
FEELING – Tired + Sad + Excited because I’m going to eat some Paotsin!!!
Happy Independence Day, mga Kababayan! Challenge your anti-Mocha Uson self from Mocha Uson herself. Hihi! Love lots. Have a great Sunday!
PS: School starts tomorrow and I’m not happy about it, btw.
Well, this challenge is a tough one. I don’t feel comfortable sharing any thing of my darkest stories because this is the internet; no one not even your secret is safe in the internet. Also, what if I have a reader who knows me personally and they’re part of this post; they might misinterpret everything. It’s better to keep my mouth shut and never mention any names. Pfft
I’m a messed up person. I have a lot of dents. I made a lot of mistake in my life. But it’s okay, it’s human nature.
I’ve seen people that I love became strangers. I’ve witnessed things that I love became other’s possession. I thought I have nothing; just a useless and empty teenage girl. But, I was wrong. They left me memories to hold on. Those are the reason why should I move on and let bygones be bygones. I still look on the bright side; I’m still surrounded by the best-est people; the one who never left me. I’m still blessed by God. I’m having the best time of my life.
All I have to say is every mistake I’ve made and experience is part of who I am and it made me stronger and braver than I am before. I have learned a lot from my crappy experiences. Yes, I have a lot of things I want to change but it’s too late. I’ll just face every thing that life throws at me. :)
PS: If you’re having a rough time like me, it’s okay. You’re not alone! Talk to someone you can trust. A friendly reminder, put that smile on your face and chin up. Put your sass on! ;)
May 22, 2016 - Beauty + Serenity
Me and my Erpats did a little stop over because of this beautiful scenery. We were heading to Malajog beach and we are riding on my Papa’s motorcycle. So, this is a huge opportunity for a photo op.
It’s another memorable day because we had a father-daughter-heart-to-heart talk. I know it’s just a just little thing but I kept it like a secret and it is buried deep in my hypothalamus and heart!
The Wonders of Having A Midnight Thoughts
Didn't you notice that your brain is very creative at night? That every thing is going smoothly. I know I do. That's why I'm writing this post.
At midnight, you're just laying in your bed, sitting on your couch or in your bathroom (wth really) and your laptop/PC is in front of your computer. Your mind goes haywire of crazy ideas or topics to put on your blog! You know the exacts words to type on your keyboards and describe your feelings or thoughts. That's why I love thinking at midnight.
You can't score if you can't take the shot.
