“Oh what fun Juvia is having!”
“Glad you’re having a great time! That was the point.” Cana laughed, slapping Juvia on the back.
“Here’s to Juvia! Congratulations on being named Magnolia’s most Beautiful Mage!” Cana shouted.
“To Juvia!” the bar cheered in unison.
“Yay Juvia!” Juvia cheered in agreement. Shooting back another shot of whatever Cana had given her. Her face puckering.
Cana and Juvia had formed an odd sort of friendship. Of course, it was because of a certain ice mage. Growing up together gave Cana and Gray a special kind of friendship. Cana was more of a cousin than anything to Gray. They went on jobs together before Team Natsu was formed; they still do on occasion. And Juvia, well, she wasn’t exactly shy about type of relationship she had with Gray, or wanted to have at least. They bonded over their, though different, love for Gray.
“So, what has Gray said about your photo shoot?” Cana wiggled her eyebrows.
“Nothing.” Juvia said sadly. “He hasn’t even spoken to Juvia since the magazine came out. He’s ignoring Juvia. He must be so mad at Juvia.”
“He’s not. He’s just jealous that everyone is giving you attention. And who cares anyways! He’s a stick in the mud” Cana responded. Looking towards the corner of the bar at a familiar black haired ice mage. She had an idea.
“I think you should dance.”
“Oh you want to dance, Cana-san? Juvia will go with you!” Juvia stood and smiled.
“No. You should dance with an eligible bachelor. Stop thinking about Gray for tonight. Let loose!” She took a swig of beer. “Have some fun!”
“Juvia doesn’t know” she but her lip and glanced around the bar at said eligible bachelors.
“Who wants to dance with the most beautiful woman in all of Magnolia?!” Cana yelled. Hoots and hollers were heard all around. Cana connected eyes with Gray and winked. Juvia’s eyes were owl like. Men started lining up to dance with Juvia.
Cana could feel the air start to get chilly.
“Well, that’s was easy”
