FALGU: The Mythological River This is the Holy River which helped a lost King, who left his whole Kingdom in search of Nirvana, made him to sit on it's bank under a pipal tree to meditate and become the leader of the world, his preaching taught human kind, the real meaning of Life, Yes, that's how we got Lord Gautam Buddha. But, you know, At the same time, this river carrying a sad part too. The "Story of Curse" given by our Sita Maa during the Exile period of Ramayana. The story is like, when Ram was sentenced for vanvas, All 3 ideals (Ramji, Sita Maa and Laxman) had crossed our Gaya city while going to Lanka, but when Ramji was about to reach the vishnu Nagri i.e. Gaya Ji, got to know that his beloved Father, The king of Ayodhya, passed away in his sorrow. So, he decided to give his part of tribute to the departed soul on the bank of Falgu. The Right side of the river is known as SITA KUND and just opposite to that, there is VISHNUPAD TEMPLE, this was the place where Sita maa gave Sharaap to the Falgu, because it made Maa Sita false, in front of Ram ji, so Mata got furious and cursed, Falgu, that You will always Flow but not above the surface, across the year, this river flows under the surface and if dig with your bare hands, will get water just a finger below. Only, Bhagwan Indra have the power to make water flow on the surface but only during the rainy days gives and that's who I got chance to take capture water flowing.
