Fallen but not forgotten. ❤️
I feel like the team suddenly decided in the finale that it would be an awesome time for them to all wear team jackets. I bet their morale was low at one stage so Coulson being an utter dork decided that they all needed team jackets. He totally would have purchased them online which is why they suddenly all had jackets because the shipment had just arrived. Imagine if he even had little nicknames printed for each individual at the bottom of the back of each jacket.
CAN WE ALL JUST APPRECIATE:
#rip Lincoln now means TWO DIFFERENT THINGS in THE SAME YEAR, BOTH of which make me want to TEAR MY HEART OUT
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD
Thoughts on rogue/vigilante Emo!Quake: I bet Daisy is now working as a vigilante helping Inhumans because she feels like she owes it to them after not one but TWO of them saved her life. Lash and Lincoln's "purposes" were both to save her, and both sacrificed themselves for her. So I bet she then feels like she owes it to Lincoln and Lash to help out the rest of the Inhumans as a thank- you.
tbh I've never really liked Lincoln. I mean, I didn't dislike him, but I was just "okay cool" about the guy. But after that incredible and selfless act of bravery, I couldn't be more proud.
CAN WE ALL JUST BE GREATFUL THAT NOTHING BAD HAPPENED TO FITZSIMMONS THIS SEASON FINALE :D (except Lincoln of course :’(
greater love has no one than this
Deep down I knew it would be Lincoln. But I was holding on to a tiny thread of hope that maybe, just maybe, they wouldn’t hurt Daisy like that. Turns out they would. And they did. And I cried.
Every part of that ending was just plain cruel. Daisy didn’t deserve that. Lincoln didn’t deserve that. And the last thing she’ll have to remember of him won’t be anything even remotely happy - it’s either him trying to talk her out of going or him saying goodbye. As if that wasn’t enough, the last thing he ever said to her was “I love you,” and then the freaking comms cut out. Not okay.
But as much as I hate it, it’s very powerful. Lincoln gave himself up, as he said, to save not only the girl he loved but the world as well. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. As heartbreaking and cruel as the whole thing was, it showed that Lincoln really did care for the people he’s met. There had been questions about his loyalty all season, but in the end, he proved himself by dying for Daisy, his team, the world. And that? That’s what a hero is. So I guess this is my poor attempt at a goodbye.
For the boy who welcomed Skye into Afterlife, who taught her that she wasn’t some horrible thing, who convinced her that she had a purpose, that maybe her life wasn’t over but just getting somewhere. For Sparkplug, the boy who cared about Daisy enough to live somewhere he didn’t really want to live. For him, the boy who loved her and made sure she knew that he did. For Lincoln, who was smart and witty and fiery but underneath it all had a heart of gold, a heart that he gave up for the earth to go on spinning. You deserved better than what you got, and you will be missed. Thank you.
