Hi Sabine! I was wondering where the quotes in your blog description are from? 😊
“Here to make Louis feel “confident & protected” and to "listen, accept & know" Harry.”
Hi nonnie, oh my god I haven’t thought about this in forever! And it’s in my header! LOL.
In fact both are direct quotes from speeches that I found held a significance only us fans would understand. I admired their honesty (and the little extra meaning that came with it) in those moments. And frankly it meant a lot to me.
Back in 2022, during LTWT in Philadelphia (when crowds were still packed with pride flags), Louis thanked us for being the best fans in the world who would make him “feel fucking confident and fucking protected in this environment”:
The other time, in 2022 during LOT in Manchester, Harry thanked us fans “for listening, for accepting, for knowing”.
I can’t post two videos in one post, so here’s a gif:
It’s so nice to think back to it. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. 🩵
I flew out to Chicago Friday morning and I knew it was going to be one hell of a weekend when the drink service on the flight gave me this baby
I have been looking for this can everywhere! turns out Delta Airlines took all of the cans. The Flight Attendant just handed me a full one and I had to hold my tongue to prevent from screaming. I was debating on whether I should have Hayden sign it but I didn't whoops. I land, meet up with my mom who drove in from Michigan to come see me.
Saturday morning I go and get my Ultimate Hayden package. I knew my photo ops weren't due until the afternoon so I figured I could squeeze in a Manny Jacinto viewing. I will say, I felt as if the celebrities and voice actors downstairs felt more organized than upstairs (and upstairs just had 4 people!) the lines were moving smoothly, it just made sense down there. Didn't wait long for Manny, and by the Nine, that man is G O R G E O U S. I was able to tell him that I loved the Acolyte and I will use Grond the Orcish siege weapon on Disney for a season 2 and he smiled. He was pleased that I wanted to learn Tagalog
I understand why Hayden, Ewan, Orlando, and John were sequestered because it was just so many people, but it was the pure definition of chaos and the volunteers, bless them, needed better communication. It was about to be a shitty prequel to J6 by the way things were set up and organized. The actual Leap organizers themselves, were consummate professionals and were the guiding light to making sure everyone got their photo op/autograph. I had an Ewan autograph before my Hayden photo op, so I got in line, and surrounded by people who toted lightsabers, Stormtrooper helmets, movie posters and artwork, my goofy ass decided that I was going to break the mold and have him sign this:
When I got to see Ewan with my actual eyes, I was practically vibrating at a frequency that could shatter(ed) glass. I wasn't close enough that I could tell you how he smelled. I was hoping to tell him that I really loved him in American Pastoral, The Men Who Stare at Goats, and Bleeding Love, but I went, "oh! I loved you in Salmon Fishing in the Yemen!" he chuckled and went "thank you! I loved making that film!" The assistant handed him the candle and he froze.
"Is this you?" He asked. I nodded, trying to seem amiable, but I and the guy right behind me was about to crack up.
"I'm probably going to hell for this?" He said.
"Ah, honey you'd be forgiven!" I did the sign of the cross and thanked him and left to go to Hayden's photo op line. And I. immediately. started. tearing. up. I have been a fan of Hayden since Higher Ground came out, and this was my first time meeting him. I never thought that I would be able to get this opportunity to see him. Christ alive, was this really happening????? to me????? Three event organizers saw me nearly apoplectic and were like dude calm down it's just him, but when they pulled the curtain back and saw him (with my own eyeballs!!!) interacting with fans, all the air left my lungs and I had to bite the inside of my cheek to keep from bawling. If I were made of sterner stuff, I would have started quoting Letterkenny, but when it came to my turn, and he turned and looked at me, I just squeaked.
Guys, he is even more beautiful in person. His eyes are so blue and what do you mean I could count the moles on his face???? what do you mean he's perceiving me?!
"Hi, how are you?" He said.
"Oh, this is the greatest moment of my life." He took my hand and I think my brain rebooted once I was close enough to smell him (GUYS I AM NEVER GOING TO BE ABLE TO SHUT UP ABOUT THIS) and his hands were the right side of rough and all I could think of how are we going to plan a summer wedding.
"Oh, you're so sweet." His smile! HIS SMILE. I AM GOING TO RUN OUT THE WINDOWPANE LOONEY TUNES STYLE.
"May we hug?" I ask, it's all I've ever wanted. He says "Sure!" and does a little head shake and we hug and everything in the world falls away. Photo was taken and I float away, thanking him, wanting to never look away from his eyes (which is weird because I'm autistic and I am terrified of eye contact.) but I left, got my photo, and went to his autograph line. big mistake. I was supposed to go to the Ewan McGregor photo op line, but I thought that I had to adhere to the scheduled time on my autograph pass. Luckily, Ewan wasn't sold out, so when I missed my window the Leap experience people were able to transfer my photo to another day. I go back into the Hayden autograph line and we waited for 3 hours. I scramble to push my dinner reservation back because we're in this for the long haul.
Now, usually, celebrities have 8x10's of all of the projects they've been in. Here I was thinking that Hayden would have photos of Jumper, but he didn't. I even went into the dealer's hall, looking for non-Star Wars Hayden related memorabilia, but nothing. Since I paid for a quote for my autograph, I had to think fast on what he could sign:
says: Paige- 'cuz when we Jumper and Popper, we Jopper. He looked at what I wanted him to write and looked at me.
"What does this mean?"
"It's from a silly kpop song. I was hoping to have a Jumper photo to sign; it would make more sense, I swear."
"Alrighty." He does it, blows on the ink for it to dry, and hands it to me. I thank him and tell him I'll see him tomorrow, and that he looks forward to it. His smile is so beautiful I forget what else I do. I think I leave.
now! Sunday I had the team up photo op at 11:30. shouts out to the photographers who approved our pose. I confused the hell out of Ewan but he got the spirit!
I almost didn't get my next Hayden photo op because I stupidly left my QR code at my hotel, I had to run across the convention hall and across the road to my hotel to go get it. I was so overwhelmed I was crying and Hayden noticed and like, stopped me to center myself and ask if I was okay. I think I said "I'm fine I'm just dumb dumb stupid." We take my photo, and then take my Ewan photo, and go back in line for Hayden's autograph. I didn't want to talk to him, solely because his line was super backed up, and he had a panel right after, and a hard exit to the airport afterwards, so as a courtesy I was just thankful. I told him it was a fine day with him around, and since he's never played Skyrim, that went over his head. that's fine. Hayden knows me now.
I had front row of the Jedi Double Feature. I recorded 75% of Ewan's portion (and I think most of what I didn't record is best I kept it secret; it felt kinda private, but then again, Ewan is brutally open about stuff.) You can Ewan's video here and Hayden's video here.
I can't believe I got to meet them. I want to meet them again. now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go disassociate and not think about how much I spent that weekend (fuckin worth it tho)
