I don't usually answer non-anon asks publicly, but:

I figured a few things -

a) I'm already out as gay/queer and that didn't totally blow up in my faceb) I only have like three people in my life that consistently refer to me correctlyc) It feels like it's time that I start fighting to have my gender respected

It hasn't gone horribly wrong yet and doesn't show signs of doing so, so hopefully this will just end up being a positive experience.
