Apparently even Cabba's VA is in on the joke. Supposedly, Vegeta says something to Cabba in Super which - with other canon events - mean he's stronger than anyone in GT, so I just had to draw it.

Two students were arguing about the Hunger Games and so I had to ask what it was about. It was the "Team Peeta or Team Gale?" argument that I remembered hearing when I was growing up, and as I busted out my film degree brain and gave the breakdown of the symbolism of each character and what they represent, one girl is clearly getting very into it since I'm taking her side, and the other just gives me this completely confused look.

So I just trailed off mid-sentence, thought for a minute, and then said:

"You just think Liam Hemsworth is hot, don't you?"

And she nodded emphatically and began to show me her camera roll of Hemsworth pics.

Fandom never changes.

I was semi-accosted on the bus by a drunken internet fight.

So I was riding home, and a fellow, weaving a bit and otherwise looking a bit boozy, asked me for some money. I didn't have anything I could give him, so I apologized. He then asked about my pretty worn t-shirt, "Who is that? What's that about?"

"Oh, it's from Harry Potter, it's Sirius Black from Harry Potter," I over-explained.

"Ah," he said, grinning and wobbling back a little, just as we got to my stop and I tried to get past him and off the bus. "So, I have a question for you. Who would win in a fight, Darth Vader, or Gandalf?"

(I ended up telling him, "Gandalf the White would win, but Vader would beat Gandalf the Grey." He seemed to enjoy that answer, since he was laughing as the bus door closed behind me.)

I suppose it is a Tumblr rite of passage when you decide for the first time not to respond to a discussion post because there’s no point in discussing things further, because it is clear that you and the other person are not going to get on the same page, and because the conviction that you’re right and they’re wrong isn’t worth the time, stress and effort of collecting references and making your point, especially if it’s just a fandom matter (as opposed to some kind of major political or other RL issue).

I am making that decision now.
