How you won't you'll find me during my mini hiatus from writing, drawing, and fandoms in general.

Being unable to finish projects, being unhappy with them all, seeing bullying inside the fandoms I liked, as well as things cropping up irl has made me feel incredibly burnt out.

The plan is to stay away from Discord, stop posting to Tumblr and AO3 until August, but may be longer while I recharge my batteries.

personal update & a little fandom break

hi friends ❤️ thank you so much to everyone who tagged me in their january reading wrap-ups and to those of you who read my fics, it honestly means the world. i myself also read so many lovely things this month and while i don’t have the bandwidth to make my own wrap right now, just know i’ve cherished every word. you are all brilliant as always.

i’ve been sitting with this for a while, and i think it’s time for me to take a bit of a fandom/writing break in my own way, likely for a few months.

some of you know that i recently bought my first home (!!!), and renovations are now underway. while i’m not personally doing all the work, just the past few days of being there cleaning, doing all the moving and shopping and selecting things, coordinating, and decision-making has made it very clear how overwhelming all of this will be. it’s so so so exciting and also just... deeply exhausting. i’ve also been feeling the edges of an epic burnout creeping in (work-wise, life-wise, everything-wise) and i’ve come to realise that i just don’t have the capacity to maintain a full-time hobby alongside everything else. for now, i need to channel what litle energy i do have into my day job, the renovation chaos, moving all my stuff over from storage when everything is ready in a few weeks, and also slowly building up my side hustle, so i can hopefully afford some cute new things for my home 🛋️✨

because of all this, i’ve temporarily hidden my two current wips (To the Lighthouse and The Sum of Our Parts). the new chapters have been sitting in a state of “almost ready,” but the anxiety of not having time or mental clarity to properly edit and post them has been weighing on me. this is just a pause and i’ll absolutely bring them back when i feel excited and ready to re-engage with them. i might still post the occasional one-shot if inspiration strikes in the next months, and i will be working on a longer ficfor a fest (👀) once i’ve got my home office properly set up.

i’m definitely not vanishing completely! i’ll still be quietly lurking, mostly in 2Wolf2Star and you can find me shitposting on my instagram stories. and i’ll absolutely be reading and commenting on your fics because i’m still going to follow my favourite WIPs religiously and downloading and reading all the ODF fics. just… expect me to be a bit crap at replying to things or reacting to tags right now. anywhere. if i disappear entirely, i’m probably elbow-deep in dust or realising i forgot to buy something important for the flat 😂

Hello, my online fellows, I hope you're all doing well :)

Regrettably, I've decided to take a small break from Tumblr, as some latest developments here have affected me to an extent I'm struggling to handle. Unfollowing/blocking the worst offenders might have helped, but issues have a way of breaking through, and sometimes ignoring them is not at all easy.

Everybody has a right to post whatever they want, but let us also remember that some things can cause deep hurt.

There have been, and there are still, people who behave in the most hypocritical manner and constantly seek to foment upset, for whatever reason, even now that the Thomas Barrow fandom had regained some well-deserved peace. In the past few months, on and off, they have verbally abused anybody they don't agree with, have mocked opinions, have belittled feelings, have occasionally spread lies, and for what purpose, really?

Some of them have also gone as far as to police and shame fanfiction writers/readers, and that for me was the last straw... I came on Tumblr to escape RL a bit and to enjoy more my fandom interests, interact with other lovely fans; I did not come here to see people inflict mistreatment and judgement all around.

Hopefully it will soon calm down once again... I guess I'll check how I feel after a while, but I'm saying goodbye for the time being.

me after GoT 8x01: welp, now I’m happy and satisfied and they can die, because Arya and Gendry met again (and are happy about it) and that’s all I wanted for so long

When the fandoms overwhelm and you can’t decide what to draw... Again.

So in that newest Endgame clip the Leftovers decide to head out and fight Thanos again. In the last trailer we saw that group in the ship leaving earth. So either they found him, fought him and lost and returned (or were returned by him) to earth, or maybe they met Tony and Nebula on their way and turned back. Because when they leave they obviously do not have Tony with them or Clint, Scott, etc. But we see Tony, Thor & Steve together ready to fight Thanos in the last trailer. It would also explain why Natasha has at first (still) white hair and later red with white, because it’s later.

I wonder what it will be. Or maybe something else completely. Like them fighting Thanos twenty times, ha.

I think the reason why I never really got around to really liking Steve Rogers/Cap is because of what he said to Tony Stark in The Avengers (he’s nothing without his suit, he just thinks about himself, he’s no hero).

Like ex-fucking-cuse you, you obviously know nothing about Tony Stark or you wouldn’t talk like that.
