Hi,is it just me or most richonners are just black people?
Because I’ve watched some panels/comic con and the only people asking about richonne are black people. How do you feel about it?
Oh nonny…I can honestly say I have never thought about it.
From what I’ve seen, the casual fandom is pretty diverse. But if you’re referring to die-hard Richonners (like me 🙋🏽♀️), then it’s probably because of the representation.
Leading ladies like Danai Gurira are rare. Not only is she effortlessly multi-dimensional, elegant, intelligent, poised, and STUNNING!!! She’s also a certified prime time / box-office baddie 💅🏽
Seeing her on screens is so impactful to the POC community in general, but especially Black women and girls - for the reasons I just mentioned, and so much more!
And having Andrew Lincoln as her leading man is just the cherry on top ❤️ Together they portray a healthy and loving partnership that is fully realized without overused tropes. And it’s rare that we get to see that when a Black woman is casted, let alone alongside a White male lead.
That being said, I have mutuals in this fandom that come from all kinds of nationalities and they stan richonne just as much as I do! The love for these two is so real, and shared by many! That’s pretty much all I care about 😌
Sorry for the long winded response, but hopefully I answered your question…
