You KNOWWW you’re in fandom hell when you start practically becoming a historian on the topic you’re interested in. I’m talking digging as far as the nine circles for information. Sometimes I’ll find myself scrolling through fandom wiki for hours being like “wow I can’t believe there’s a 9.5 foot tall muppet named thog!” Or something along those lines, and then I get really embarrassed because I realize nobody has cared about the topic for well over 30 years.

I'm over here like.... Have y'all not seen Wynonna Earp on Syfy? Wynonna x Doc are way more goal-able. Way better in my honest opinion.

You know how mature people deal with others not shipping their ship? They utilise the block function and move on.

Like I'm pretty sure I have a few followers who don't ship my otps, and you know what they're not doing? They ain't coming into my inbox sending me hate. And as for me, well many of the people I follow have ships I dislike (sometimes damn well hate) and you know what I do? Block the fucking tag and leave them to their fun,

And what about the people I don't follow...well, i don't follow them so what doesn't matter.

Gravity Falls AU where Dipper is trans and his chosen name is Tyrone, getting the legal paperwork/ids to reflect that.

While I think it's sweet for a Cis!Dipper to learn to appreciate his birth name Trans!Dipper is 100% a Tyrone.

The reason I say AU is because I absolutely love the Trans!Dipper headcanon but I don't think it exactly works canonically. THAT BEING SAID content with a Trans!Dipper as well as a Trans!Grunkle Stan is amazing.

I genuinely don’t know who forgot to tell this generation of fandom that other LGBTQ+ people writing about different experiences through the lens of a single character literally cannot take anything away from them or “erase” their experiences but

for the record, any ideology that encourages you to:

- treat other members of your community with suspicion and mistrust

- view them as potential rivals for some scarce commodity (like, for instance, “representation”)

- view them as about to attack and try to take something away from you just by being or expressing themselves

—all because they’re not EXACTLY like you is um. Not great. It’s. Not a good ideology. In fact, it’s actively harmful.

People who want you to see other LGBTQ+ people as “the enemy” do not have your best interest at heart, or the community’s.
