This is truly the season of Tumblr Holidays, because the next one is coming up on Thursday. November 14th is Archive of Our Own's birthday and obviously we have to celebrate that on Comment Exchange!
On all Tumblr Holidays from this list the comment first rule is suspended. That means you can submit works without having to send in proof that you commented on another work first. Of course it would still be very much appreciated if you did so anyways, but that’s up to you.
You can submit works either through the tumblr submission function, or through our google submission form. Please make sure to read our rules before you do.
Tag list under the cut, if you would like to be tagged in future, fill out this form.

Can we make August 2nd or July 29 like a fandom holiday. This fandom needs a 4/13
Things I totally forgot were upcoming...
St. Patrick’s day for one (nothing to big for myself but still weird to have completely forgotten it). More importantly....I forgot Caretaker Day is happening in two days! And I’ve got nothing prepared. Blast. Make of this what you will. Al, the Chronographing Cottager and Prince of Naming
A Master list of Fandom Holidays
Because I'm sick of the Superbowl getting all the attention. We have our holidays too! Such as...
Mean Girls- October 3rd. From a line in the movie where Aaron asks Cady what day it is and she replies "October 3rd". Fairly well known, even among normies. Celebrated by the sharing of memes and the wearing of the Pink.
Star Wars- May 4th. Pronounced as May the 4th as it sounds like "may the force be with you" VERY well known. There are special bitmojis released.
Les Miserables- June 5/6th. Known as Barricade Day, after the day when the barricade is built and falls. Pretty well known among mizzies, Les Mis hashtags tend to trend. Celebrated with lots of art fic and crying. Mostly crying.
Hunchback of Notre Dame/Notre Dame de Paris- Quaismodo Sunday. The first Sunday after Easter is Quaismodo Sunday, so it moves every year. I remember celebrating this day in my fandom days of yore. It seems dead now. Revival?
Henriad/Shakespeare's History /Shakespeare in general- October 25, Saint Crispins day. This is mostly for the Histories fandom, specifically the Henriad. There's like nine people who know about it. However, it's a favrotie of mine and for one short day my dash is full of bands of brothers. More mainstream Shakespeare fans tend to gravitate to...
Julius Caesar/Ancient Rome/Shakespeare in general/Classics -March 15. The Ides of March. The day Julius Caesar was stabbed , as immortalized in the play. Surprisingly well know, celebrated with many memes about stabbing Caesar.
Harry Potter- September 1st. The first day of school for Hogwarts Students. Celebrated by bemoaning the fact you did not get your owl for another year, and occasionally tricking young kids into thinking they did. July 31st, J.K.'s and Harry's birthday, is also celebrated, and May 2nd , the battle of Hogwarts is a day of mourning throughout the fandom
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy- 25 May , towel day. Chosen as it was two weeks after Douglas Adams' death. Celebrated by taking a towel around with you. April 2nd (4/2 American style) and February 4th (4/2 European style) also seem to be used.
Alice in Wonderland- Mad Hatter Day October 6th. From the band in the Hatter's hat that says "in this style 10/6". Not sure if this is used in the fandom but googling it gets results . Might be an ironic example of a holiday known more by the normies than the fandom itself.
Well that's all I know off the top of my head. As you can see I'm into very nerdy obscure fandoms. Please add more!
