So the scarf is now officially called the Sestra Scarf, because I've added a fun little motif before the DNA starts. I'll take pictures tomorrow, but for now, this is gonna be great.

So I got the yarn for my upcoming Fandom Knitting Bee project! And the skeins are tiny! Yeah, they're 110 sport weight yards and all that jazz, but I was definitely expecting bigger skeins. We'll see how they work out and if I'll be able to knit the whole scarf with them! I ordered two of each of these.
(And seriously, browsing the Knit Picks site is glorious. I can't wait to knit a sweater with something pretty and luxe! And here's this yarn!)
Have to wait an untold amount of time for my yarn to get here for the fandom knitting bee, but as long as it’s here by the second, that’ll be awesome! Or, at the very least, the fifth, when I’ll be able to start up during my ridiculously long (and worth it) train ride. Orphan Black scarf, here I come? Who’s joining in?
Okay, so I'm just doing simple black and white for the fandom knitting bee. I babied out and I'm not dying the yarn this time around. But one day! I might come up with my own design for that!
Fandom Knitting Bee 3.0
Which reminds me: are you kids ready for another fandom knitting bee? It starts January 2, and you can get more info here!
This is what I'll be knitting for Orphan Black, and if I can find white sport-weight yarn with red speckles, the world will be the best place. I'm also gonna be learning double knitting, so that'll be an adventure.
Need ideas? Check out the tag! And crochet is always welcome!
Finding yarn for my fandom knitting bee project is gonna be a major pain.
If anyone finds any white sport weight yarn with flecks of red, that would be really amazing and please let me know!
I'm already excited for the next Fandom Knitting Bee. January 2, my friends.
I finished the scarf! And I did it in less than a month this time! I have to remember to take pictures and stuff before sending it off. I'll post the pictures once mysticwaffles gets it, and the world can see that my stranded knitting is mostly just okay but I make up for it with enthusiasm or something. I dunno.
But there's my fandom knitting bee progress!
