gentle reminder to fandom spaces ִֶָ. ..𓂃 ࣪ ִֶָ🪽་༘࿐:
can we please stop calling fics that don’t stick to canon “cringy”?
can we stop acting like “out of character” automatically means bad? sometimes writers explore softness, vulnerability, or alternate worlds that canon never gave them room for and that’s cool. fiction is supposed to expand, not cage itself inside a single tone.
and while we’re at it… can we stop mocking people’s OCs?
the design might not be perfect, the writing might be rough, but you’re seeing someone’s heart poured into pixels and words. someone spent hours dreaming about them, drawing them, giving them a name and a story. that’s not “cringe,” that’s creation.
fandoms should be a place for fun, not fear.
write the self indulgent fic. make your oc overpowered. give them pink hair, angel wings, or a tragic love story with your favorite character.
it’s not “immature.” it’s imaginative.
create what makes you happy.
let others do the same.
we all started somewhere. and maybe the most freeing thing you can do in fandom is stop trying to look cool and start enjoying what you love again.
