Whenever I look at SK's soul salvation CD artwork, from my interpretation I like to think that these were the three boys turning lives for them or rather, it's their live-changing moment for them forever onwards

I remember a few RenMei antis would deny the Ren art in this has nothing to do with Jeanne and that he's just thankful he's alive but like, I hard disagree cuz fym this has nothing to do with Jeanne when he's obviously touching his lips here lol

And sure, you can argue that he's thinking about Shamash since he kissed ren but also like Shamash is affiliated with Jeanne... And also, Ren has something against Shamash in which we will get to discussing about in a few mins in this post here... Also let's not forget Ren got baited for like 10 seconds of his life cuz he thought Jeanne was going to smooch him when she claims he will get smooched

Speaking about the sleeping beauty kiss, for a very long time I always had the impression Ren had every rightful reason to be mad at Jeanne and I don't blame him at all since X-Laws and Jeanne basically touched/moved his dead body and got his first kiss taken without his consent

But there's also a part of me that kind of got me wondering... Because of the Ren art from Soul salvation CD and that it took place in the same abandon church where Jeanne met him for the first time and he's touching his lips in that art, it makes me wonder aside from being overly pissed off about everything, I do actually wonder if he was genuinely expecting to be kissed by Jeanne herself. I'm looking at the panels again and like he goes from blushing real hard when Jeanne says he will be kissed to being incredibly super pissed off after Shamash kissed him and I wonder if any of that has to do with anything being tied to his soul salvation artwork of him actually thinking about Jeanne

More food for thought:

After getting revived, he attacked all of the X-Laws members but except Jeanne

If Ren was really truly pissed off at her and has something against her after she revived him, he would attack her right then and there but he didn't lol

And even when yoh bought up about his scar, Ren didn't had an annoyed reaction when he mentioned Maiden reviving him.

Idk I feel like Ren overall doesn't actually hate Jeanne? But rather, he has something against Shamash, especially in his mentalite interview. Jeanne gets briefly mentioned in his interview, again Ren doesn't get annoyed by the mention of her name. But as soon as Shamash's name gets mentioned though, Ren gets hostile and pissed off quickly (Again no shit cuz this alien-like baby looking creature took his first kiss so ofc he would be pissed off)

Ofc this doesn't mean i'm saying "Oh Ren TOTALLY 1000% got a crush on Jeanne after she revived him" cuz no, that isn't my headcanon of how he fell for her lol (infact I don't believe Ren is the kind of person to fall in love so quickly and THAT easily) but the more I think about the soul salvation Ren art and everything, I'm thinking 'well what if he's actually just curious and intrigued by Jeanne?'

Idk i'm just having a lot of thoughts on this lol
