Darrell is a gambler in Holland Valley that came to Hope county after getting in trouble in Las Vegas casinos and now his favorite past time it to spend time in the spread Eagle and Terrorize John Seed with trying to get him to play poker so he can con him for every cent to the younger seed name
Wayne is one of Jacob trusted choosen he joined the cult after serving the military in Afghanistan and getting home only to not be able to get a job to support himself and loosing his support dog to a couple of Drunk rednecks that ran the dog over now he serves as one of Jacob's choosen to root out the evil that is hope county

The Seed Family are secretly angels while the deputy/deputies are pesky imps/demons

Vice versa where the Seed Family (Mostly Joseph) are demons trying to be religious in order to get their rights to enter heaven
