Linzin in Farmer AU
Do you think it might be the other way around? In Farmer AU, when they're alone, it's actually Lin who gets flustered, while Tenzin turns out to be the more passionate one.

Y'all may have already seen my pfp change, but check this out! I got a commission from @chickenmanbeloved of my farmer Lin and Shane on their wedding day, sort of a candid style (perhaps taken by one of the villagers), and I absolutely adore how it turned out!
Lin walked back to the farmhouse after a long day in the fields, dirt smudging her cheeks and her muscles pleasantly sore. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow over the land she’d been tending. As she approached the porch, she saw Tenzin waiting for her, leaning casually against the doorframe.
“Welcome home, Mrs. Beifong. So, how’s life?” he asked with a playful smile.
Lin chuckled as she set down her basket of freshly picked vegetables. “That’s an unusual question, but life’s been good. And you, Mr. Airhead? How’s your life?”
Tenzin’s smile widened as he stepped closer. “Hmmm… I’m talking to her right now.”
Lin rolled her eyes, but she couldn’t hide the smile tugging at her lips. “You and your pick-up lines,” she muttered, though there was a warmth in her tone.
Tenzin just grinned, clearly pleased with himself. “I’ll take that as a win.”
Lin shook her head, feeling a little lighter. “You’re lucky I like you.”
“I’m luckier than I deserve,” he said softly, reaching out to take her hand.
Lin squeezed his hand back, the warmth of his touch grounding her after a long day. “Come on, let’s get dinner started. I’ve got some fresh veggies that are just begging to be cooked.”

was thinking about the smog in the city vs the country side where lin is from and her on the phone with tenzin… “The stars sure are beautiful tonight, too bad you can’t see them Ten”
Hi, anon~
Sorry for the late replyyyy~ I've been thinking about this :3
Ring, ring, ring.
“Tenzin, it’s Lin,” Kya called out.
“Alright, thanks!” Tenzin replied, taking the call. He quickly told Lin to hold the line while he transferred the call to the phone in his room—he didn’t want to ask Kya to do it for him, classic Tenzin.
He dashed to his room, grabbed the phone, and settled in. They exchanged stories about their day. Tenzin talked about meditating, training with Aang, and spending time in the library, while Lin shared her day on the farm and how she watched a baby turtle duck hatch. Then she mentioned the view she was enjoying.
“The stars sure are beautiful tonight. Too bad you can’t see them, Ten.”
“Yeah, that’s true,” Tenzin replied with a smile. “But the only star I want to see tonight is you.”
On the other end, Lin snorted and burst into laughter. But before Tenzin could savor the moment, he heard more laughter… coming from downstairs.
He peeked down and saw his siblings, along with their mom, eavesdropping through the phone! His face turned as red as a tomato. Embarrassed, Tenzin stormed off to cool his head, but then thought, “Heck, I should go see my beautiful star in person.”
Farmer Lin, trying on this dress for yet another banquet because, you know, being married into the Avatar's family means endless invites.
But the question is, Will Tenzin let her wear this? XD
✨Farmer Vs. Canon✨
Part [1] [2]
Later that evening, as the time for the banquet drew closer, Lin found herself in Tenzin’s arms instead of at the event. One thing led to another, and the dress ended up on the floor as they decided that skipping the banquet sounded much better than attending.
Months later, Lin and Tenzin were sitting together in their garden, enjoying a quiet afternoon when Lin casually announced, “By the way, I’m pregnant.”
Tenzin blinked in surprise, then broke into a huge grin. “You mean…?”
Lin nodded, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Seems like skipping those banquets was totally worth it after all."
At first, I was like, "Yeah, Lin's looking good!" But the more I look, the more she’s giving off Disney villain vibes… Damn it, Villain Lin!!

(Farmer) Lin stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the green dress she had chosen for yet another banquet they were invited to since marrying into the Avatar’s family.
When Tenzin walked into the room, he froze, his eyes widening as he took in the sight of her. He blinked a couple of times, clearly trying to catch his breath.
“Well?” Lin asked, raising an eyebrow with a small, knowing smirk. “What do you think?”
Tenzin stared for a moment before blurting out, “I love it.”
Lin grinned, stepping closer. “Good, because I’m planning to wear this to the banquet.”
Tenzin’s expression shifted from admiration to concern in an instant. “To the banquet?” he repeated, shaking his head. “Lin, everyone’s going to be there, and—”
“And?” Lin interrupted. “You just said you love the dress.”
He sighed, clearly torn. “I do love it. You look absolutely stunning, Lin. But I don’t want anyone else seeing you in that dress. That’s… that’s for my eyes only. I don’t want some creep ogling my wife.”
Lin chuckled, folding her arms and giving him a teasing look. “Like what you’re doing right now?”
Tenzin blinked, caught off guard, then quickly tried to defend himself. “I am not ogling,” he insisted, though his gaze softened as he took her in again. “I’m just admiring my beautiful, stunning, drop-dead gorgeous wife.”
Lin’s smirk turned into a warm smile as she stepped even closer, wrapping her arms around his neck. “Nice save, Tenzin,” she whispered before leaning in to kiss him softly.
Tenzin pulled her closer, his hands resting on her waist as he kissed her back. “You know,” he murmured against her lips, “maybe we can be a little late to that banquet.”

Wait, so Tenzin still ends up with Pema in the farmer AU?
Hi, anon~
Thanks for the ask! So, about that wedding announcement—it was only in the paper, don’t worry. Now, let’s talk about Pema first.
In this AU, Pema isn’t that much younger than Tenzin like she is in canon. She’s actually the same age as Suyin, and they grew up together. Su and Pema got along well as kids, but when Su started bending training, she got really into it and spent less time with Pema. Something happened between them, and they had a fallout (I’ll share more on that in another post).
ANYWAY, after Linzin broke up, they went their separate ways. Lin embraced her new life as a Beifong, while Tenzin traveled to all the air temples and stayed there for seven years. When he finally returned, he came back with Pema and introduced her as his girlfriend. How did that happen? Well, during those seven years, Pema tried to pursue Tenzin many times—like, many, many times—but he kept declining. Pema was about to give up, but the acolytes kept pushing her, saying things like, “You haven’t tried enough, Pema. Convince him that Lin’s never coming back, and she’s the reason he was heartbroken. Also, remind him of his responsibility to the Air Nation.”
Pema wasn’t too thrilled about this because she wanted Tenzin to love her for who she was, not out of guilt or pressure. But the acolytes insisted, saying he’s not getting any younger and that he’ll be pressured soon anyway, so they just needed to give him a little nudge. On his 33rd birthday, Pema confessed her feelings to him again and said everything the acolytes had told her. She made sure not to be too pushy but just enough to open his eyes to the fact that Lin wasn’t coming back. She then continued, “Instead of Lin, I’m here with you, and I’ll never hurt you. I’ll support you in anything you do.” Tenzin then accepts her and decides to go home so that his family meet her.
Fast forward to Tenzin’s return, they arrived in the afternoon, and he was greeted by his siblings and Su. The adults were absent, but the family had been expecting them. They made sure to separate Tenzin from Pema, with Su handling Pema while the siblings took Tenzin aside.
Pema felt uneasy with Su because Su had the upper hand. As Tenzin caught up with his siblings, they broke the news that there had been a wedding announcement in the paper that morning—one that Tenzin hadn’t even heard of. He was shocked.
"What wedding announcement?" he exclaimed.
"The wedding announcement was the acolytes' doing," Pema replied
Su confronted Pema, who admitted that the announcement had been the work of the acolytes. Su wasn’t surprised but pressed, "And you didn’t tell Tenzin?"
Pema avoided her gaze, muttering, "Tenzin and I are soulmates. Lin broke his heart, and I’d never let her hurt him again!"
"Lin was devastated when she heard the news," Kya exclaimed
"If she wanted to get back with me, why didn’t she do it years ago?!" Tenzin asked
His siblings exchanged sad looks before Bumi spoke up, "Lin tried to reach out—through letters, calls and even tried to visit you once. She only told us this morning, after the news broke."
Kya added, "If we had known, we would’ve helped her. But she didn’t want to ask because she was the one who ended things."
Tenzin was floored. "What letters? What calls?"
"It wasn’t me. It was the acolytes and abbots. They held all the letters and told Lin that Tenzin didn’t want to see nor speak to her anymore." Pema admitted,
Su, furious, snapped, "And you just let them do it? You haven’t changed, Pema! You stood by and did nothing, just like you did years ago!"
Tenzin was in shock; everything felt overwhelming and new to him. He quickly asked, “Where is she now?”
Kya replied, “She’s at home.”
Bumi added, “We left her with Izumi.”
Izumi was in Republic City for future Firelord matters, but now she was with Lin to offer comfort.
Tenzin rushed out. Sokka was just arriving home when he saw Tenzin in a hurry. He asked what was going on, but the siblings only told him to check on Su.
Sokka went to the room and overheard an argument between Pema and Su.
“What happened in the past is over, Su! I love Tenzin, and I’d never let him go back to Lin! What they did to Lin isn’t my concern! Tenzin deserves better!” Pema argued.
Sokka stepped in, “And you think you’re the one who deserves him?”
Su looked surprised. “Dad?”
Sorry it’s so long! Hope you like it!~
