So Crow... I need your feedback on this because Katy was shocked when I said it. Is smashing one of the Ps3 Demon's Souls Fat Officials ONCE too many times?
( @izunias-meme-hole )
Absolutely not.
In fact, as an aroace — I will give my outsider opinion and recommend you take the rotund gentlemen out on a series of dates and buy him only the finest steak dinners and marry him for his status in Boletaria and enjoy your freaky activities as much as you wish before you inevitably poison his tea in the morning and run off with his wealth of gold and feign the grief of a heartbroken widow (er) for the public eye to gain sympathy and donations from your devoted subjects all while you secretly relish in the ingenious scheme you have successfully carried out AND the good time you had with the dashing Official.

I've done an obscene amount of Bayou Billy themed artwork. Now, this only makes the second one, but this is Bayou Billy we're talking about, here. Go ahead and type "Bayou Billy" into Deviant Art and see what results you get. Back? Exactly.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the fine folks at TENFEY (aka Tenfey and the Tenfettes) and all several Tenfey True Believers that might see this. The rest of you, too, I guess, if you really feel like you've earned it.
(Here's a picture of the original Bayou Billy NES box art that I was trying to recreate. Awkward angles and all. PS - I know the Fat Official is from Demon's Souls, but I thought he fit too perfectly)
These characters don't need much introduction, really. If you ever wanted to recreate the characters of Demon's Souls in Dark Souls, take a look!
FAT OFFICIAL
Whatever starting class you choose, this build requires very little stat investment, and is best used for invading low-level areas. The first armor setup looks most like the officials' actual armor -- but for fashion-conscious Fat Officials, I've also listed the components of an all-black outfit.
Snickering Top Hat
Leather Armor or Black Sorcerer Coat
Hard Leather Gauntlets or Black Leather Gloves
Hard Leather Boots or Black Leather Boots
Scythe**
Whip (best in off-hand0
Pyromancy Flame; Combustion, Great Fireball
OPTIONAL: Catalyst; Aural Decoy (laughing taunt)
**The Scythe -- not the Crescent Axe -- is actually the best approximation of the Fat Officials' axes. They may drop the Crescent Axe in Demon's Souls, but that axe looks nothing like theirs. They actually use bardiches, and the "Scythe" is actually a mislabeled bardiche.
BIORR OF THE TWIN FANGS
Recreating Biorr was an unexpectedly tricky task; Havel's armor is built most like the Brushwood Set of Demon's Souls, but it obviously wouldn't work for Biorr. The final product may not look like Biorr 100%, but it definitely evokes his style.
Steel Helm
Steel Armor or Black Iron Armor
Steel Gauntlets or Black Iron Gauntlets
Golem Leggings
Zweihander
Heavy Crossbow
"VALLEY OF DEFILEMENT" or MAIDEN ASTRAEA
My initial goal was to recreate Maiden Astraea -- but I quickly realized that the result would be indistinguishable from a generic Thorolund priestess. To further distinguish her, I tried to incorporate as many elements of the Valley of Defilement as possible...
Maiden Set (no gloves, hood optional)
Gravelord Covenant
Gravelord Greatsword (keep hidden until necessary)
Ivory Talisman; WotG, Emit Force, Great Heal, Replenishment
Pyromancy Flame; Poison Mist, Toxic Mist, Undead Rapport
OPTIONAL: Poisonbite Ring, dung pies
If you are interested in roleplaying with this build, I suggest the following strategy: Make a drawn-out production of it. Cower behind entranced enemies, using long-ranged attacks when you see the opportunity. Flee, and make the invader chase you. Taunt them with in-character messages.
When you can flee no longer, use WotG and the Gravelord Greatsword. If you're attracting invaders with the Dried Finger rather than an Eye of Death, consider summoning a friend with a Paladin Leeroy build.
THE OLD MONK'S CHAMPION
The components of this build are obvious, but playing it effectively is somewhat difficult. High intelligence and the Enchanted upgrade path are recommended.
Xanthous Crown
Armor/Gauntlets/Leggings of Thorns
Claws x2
Tin Crystallization Catalyst; Homing (Crystal) Soulmass, (Crystal) Soul Spear
Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring
Havel's Ring or Ring of F&P
Stay tuned for more! I've recently created a new PSN account, so a good portion of my free time will be spent freely experimenting with DkS characters.
The kingdom of boletaria. ( would live to hear about the fat officials , considering Chester's design)
[This incomplete entry lies buried in the blank pages near the back of the log. Not even Chester can remember the event that inspired it.]
—dated style — a military fort, gone to shambles by the look of it.
Hardly the best lodging, but it suits me well enough. I’m staying until this brackish cloud passes over. A stench hangs over this whole country; it wafts in on the fog. The unmistakable perfume of Death!
…
If any vermin still haunts this place, I’ll pay my nethers to him.
[Here the entry becomes heavily fragmented, near illegible at some points.]
—ve r—ged soldiers, with a smoked ham at their head! The poor wretches … . whipped like mutts—
—dead!
—blade hugged his flesh like a lover. Like carving a roast! Fou——enjoyed himself just as much. The blue-skinned pig was laughing all the while! If only I had run across him earlier… the times we could have had!
...ugly rag on his head, scarcely worthy of being called a hat.
