Sieg, would you Smash or Pass your servant, Astolfo?
Smash or Pass: Smash
“What …!?” Sieg exclaimed with a fierce blush, he glanced momentarily to Astolfo wearing his trademark outfit.

Hypothetical Rank Up No. 36: Sieg
Magecraft C -> Galvanized Heart B++
Increase own Arts Card effectiveness (3 times, 3 turns).^ Increase own NP Overcharge Level by 4 (1 turn). Change own NP Card Type to card type of choice from Quick/Arts/Buster (3 turns).
Our collective son is here as the next Apoc rank up! I reallllllly wanted to give his NP a rankup but then I actually did the event and used him enough to get a feel for him and I have to admit it’s all good on that front. He’s actually in general got a lot going for him with two issues: No survivability whatsoever, and being a 1 turn burst character yet having a kit seemingly designed around high np damage and refund. So I fixed one of those things because not having any weaknesses is as boring as having no real strengths. Honestly his entire kit could stand to be more interesting, but aside from the obligatory boring AND bad 1 turn stim, he’s really not suffering much in most areas.
Let’s lead with the flavor before the effects for once, before anyone bites my ear off. I checked the lore and it’s actually 100% justified to give Sieg something on Spishtar’s level. Lorewise the Venus Driver is a result of Spishtar’s goddess nature being elevated to a celestial nature with access to the wonders of the universe and all that, allowing her to freely shift the base attributes of her Noble Phantasm. I’d more than say Sieg having a Greater Grail lodged in him is comparable to an alternative version of such, especially given his artificial nature. That said he’s still not a cosmic god, but he doesn’t need to be to access alternate attributes; know why? Take a look at Fran’s NP. Now take a look at Sieg’s. Now take a look at Siegfried’s. Quick....Arts....Buster. In that order. By tapping into the greater grail’s reservoirs, Sieg can take on the attributes of the servants he resonates with. While he’s still best attuned to his own unique phantasm thanks to an inherent Arts buff, he’s still very much capable of Buster for damage resist exploitation, or Quick for Skadiloop and the simple yet incredibly noteworthy niche of Quick Caster. That arts buff is also now 3 times 3 turns to make it possible to spread it out as well as avoid punishing using a non-arts NP. It also allows the possibility for better arts looping in farming thanks to the NP gain potentially being spread out over 3 arts NPs. As for the overcharge....yeah, it’s justified I’d say. OC4 sounds like an exorbitant amount but in practice it actually just means an additional 20% down applied before his NP, and acts as the REAL one turn burst in a CQ/Boss environment. The reason for this Overcharge, as well as the name, is a reference to Fran’s Galvanism and Sieg’s awakening. In both the literal and figurative sense, he was galvanized into action, and manifests that galvanism in a parallel sense rather than an identical one. Since the NP Spam potential of the skill manifests in Artificial Hero, this could be seen as the way Sieg was granted an NP at all through those events, and his connection to a grail tapping into the maximum potential of that granted ability if only for a moment.
I felt a need to draw more Astolfo and this time Kirby is with him. Why? I don't know, they're just cute together. The idea of Sieg using the Greater Grail as his personal search engine makes me cackle, and poor homunculus is probably terrified of Kirby now.
As usual, the whole page as it is is below.
fgo team: *slaps sieg on the back* boy you are about to get SO much characterization
