(Update: Pffft, I hadn't even realized I posted this! I thought I had pressed "save to drafts" and not "reblog."

Anywho, I wanted to do the outfit swap for Malroth and my builder since I find those fanarts fun and cute. Did give my builder a top to wear under the jacket because, while I don't mind drawing nudity, I don't think my builder would feel comfortable. Also, censorship (yay).

I've been struggling with drawing in general and pushing this doodle past the stick figure stage was a strugle. Anyway, have a mermay dragon quest builders thing. This was meant to be Malroth trying to sneak a peak at my builder's secret Builderpedia book, but instead it looks like he's trying to peep at her chest and she's trying to cover up. Oops.

Also couldn't figure out if I wanted to draw Disney style mermaids or more siren types, which I personally have more fun drawing, and then I couldn't decide if Malroth should look like a merking but no because he's supposed to be human so since he has pointy ears in human form then maybe some webbed ears as a mer? Anyway. This what it ended up as.

Also, also, considered doing blue-green scales because discord buddies like the idea of shimmery color shift blue-to-green scales for his godform. But the image then looked too blue and the builder stood out too much.

So, um, happy mermay?

Drew this after a little failed experiment...

Last month @sapphire-draw mentioned there was some secret dialog that pops up by Brownbeard when you try to leave an island without Malroth. I wanted to see said dialog so off I went to get Malroth killed knocked out.

He's doing great!

Unfortunately, it was a failed experiment. Discovered a couple of things: • Fast travel is an insta-heal for your party members. • Brownbeard didn't care that Malroth was down for the count and not by my side. We left for Isle of Awakening just fine.

Tried to give him a high-five to show it was all in jest but he was still visibly upset my builder almost left him behind.

Sapphire regretted sharing this info with me. Told her it'd be okay and my builder would patch him up and kiss his boo-boos (see first image).

All good!

(later found I did actually once trigger said dialog. no idea how i did it though XD)
