Happy Free Comic Book Day 2021!!
It’s once again, the magical day of nerdom, Free Comic Book Day!
I’m only just now really realizing just how much I missed this day last year...even if it isn’t at the right time of year. And you know, since i’m back in the printables game, you know what that means...
For this year, I have made a brand new comic box printable, both in long and short box form. The box is now slightly bigger, and has a functioning lid I’m happy with. It also has the benefit of not requiring glue/tape to hold it together. Here’s the example to show the construction;
(my cardstock is black, so it makes it easier to show)
Just glue the printable to cardstock, cut out, then fold the long side tabs in, and fold the end tabs inside over them, having the very end of the tab fold the opposite way to rest along the bottom of the box, thus holding the side tabs against the ends. The lid is constructed the same way as the main box, and fits snuggly on the box.
But what good is a comic box with no comics to fill it?? Well have no fear! Fore I have gone through an remastered several previous Comic sets I’ve released in the past, in addition to creating a new sheet from last year and this year’s FCBD selections.
FCBD 2016/17 (remastered)
Superverse Books (remastered)
These books are slightly wider, and much taller than the old version. They’re still constructed birthday card wise, and I do suggest “laminating” the comic with packing tape for more durability.
So go forth, safely of course, and enjoy the day with free comics and crafting!
