Some of the comic books with Black girls that I spotted today while in the comic book store!

Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers - Free Comic Book Day Special 2018
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers #27
Beautiful Scarlet Witch by Jeff Dekal.
It’s Free Comic Book Day, so here’s an odd comic I made for Seven Days newspaper in ‘16 while missing the woods in Vermont. Just Lil Ghosty taking an afternoon float. I included the full page too so you can see what it looked like in print form!
[ID: A Sunday-newspaper-comic sized poetry comic. Panel 1: “Little Ghosty by Laurel Lynn Leake”. Panel 2: A tattered specter floats like a plastic bag through orange-brown autumn woods. She narrates in cursive script, “Here I am, in these woods again.”
Panel 3: "I left them behind, but a part of me stayed, you know?” Ghosty reaches up one of her many tiny hands to touch a passing leaf. Her face is scrawled in a single blue line: two empty circular eyes and a triangular nose.
Panel 4: “Am I just passing through? That seems untrue.” She closes her eyes and lets the wind carry her up over a hill, her form expanding. “I’ve given a lot to these woods. Shared my time, shared anger, shed tears, sympathy, was selfishly aflame with emotions.”
Panel 5: “That I was too scared -” She caresses a turkey tail mushroom on a log with three overlapping arms. “ - to express in any other place.”
Panel 6: Ghosty hovers close to the ground, getting smaller. “That’s why, I think, something shared remains: Not just me, but me-in-the-woods”
Panel 7: "Wandering without need or expectation -” She tucks herself between two rocks, curling her arms around herself, as a leaf falls to rest on her back. “Making some kind of home.”]
