Chrom/Robin - Fire Emblem Awakening
"I never want to let you go, Robin. Does that make me selfish?"
"If so, then let me be selfish, too. I would be with you, always."
I’ll admit: I never ended up recruiting Tiki on any of my Awakening runs. I’m not sure why! I used the Wiki to get a grasp of her personality, and sort of made up an alternate S-Support event for them. It’s kinda removed from canon in that aspect, but whatever. Sorry if this doesn’t meet your expectations!
Pairing: M!Robinx Tiki. Completely SFW.
~to anyone reading this, please recommend me fe fates/awakening ships/scenarios to write about next!~

“Tiki! You’re back!”
Robin couldn’t help the flutter of warmth and excitement that swelled in his heart whenever he saw Tiki, the beautiful dragon-girl. He’d been thinking about her more and more often in the past months- crazy as it may be, the green haired lady had completely dominated his thoughts. Her smile was so cute, the way she held herself so elegant...
“I am! Can you come and give me a hand?”
Tiki had her arms full of various fruits. The Shepherds had set up a temporary camp near a village, and the villagers had generously said that they could take as many fruits from the village orchid as they wished. “Coming!” Robin responded, putting the box of spears he’d been sorting into piles down by his feet. He’d get back to that later.
Robin followed Tiki through into the temporary dining tent. Even within their canvas walls the wind still snuck in, and it played with Tiki’s hair and made the green haired strands look as if they were dancing. Gods, Robin thought. Why is so perfect?
“Did you say something?” Tiki asked, raising an eyebrow.
“I- uh- no, I didn’t say anything!” Robin stuttered. At least- I hope I didn’t, he thought. Tiki laughed, a sound more melodious to him than any song. “If you’re not too caught up in your thoughts, Robin, you think you could help me sort these fruits?” She relinquished her armful of fruits upon the table, and they went bouncing everywhere. Robin, acting on instinct, leapt for a stray apple that was making a bid for escape through the gap between the canvas and the ground. When he picked it up, he was dismayed to see that one half of it was compleey brown and rotten. He winced, showing it to Tiki. “Well, this one’s no good.” Tiki looked bashful. “Geez. That’s gross.” Robin looked at the other fruits on the table, a mixture of apples and oranges.. all brown. all bad. Robin felt sick. “Tiki, these are all rotten.”
“They are?”
“Uh. Yeah.”
“Oh.”
Robin was confused. Tiki wasn’t stupid. As daunting as the fact was, she was hundreds of years old and presumably could tell the difference between good fruit and bad fruit. So why had she come back from the orchard with her arms full of squelchy green oranges?
“Robin? Can you come back to the orchard with me,, and we can get some good fruit? please? We really should, if uh- well. The camp can’t eat mouldy fruit, can they?”
‘I guess not. Uh, lets go, before the sun sets.”
The sunset was beautiful. Soft orange light dappled the orchard, painting the white blossom trees in hues of red and yellow. The air was crisp and fresh- a prefect night. On the walk to the orchard Tiki had been silent and despondent. Her face, her perfect face creased in worry as it was, had made Robins heart hurt. But now that they were alone in the orchard, Tiki’s usual cheerful disposition had come back in full swing. Her mind didn't seem to be on collecting the huge, fresh fruits that hung on the branches of the trees, though... she was collecting up handfuls of the blossom petals that had fallen on the ground, throwing them up into the air. “What are you doing?” Robin asked, but he couldn’t help but smile. Tiki’s happiness was infectious. “Look how they sparkle in the sunset light!” She grinned. Robin raised an eyebrow. “Sparkle? I don’t see it. They’re petals.” Tiki pouted. “Robin, do you have any imagination? They sparkle.”
“They don’t sparkle, Tiki, they’re petals.”
“Hush, they sparkle if I want them to sparkle!”
“Your eyes sparkle.”
“-what?”
Robin covered his mouth, feeling heat rushing into his face. Had he really just said that? He hadn't been thinking, gods, that was so awkward. Could he even take that back? Tiki was walking toward him now. Robins breath caught in his throat. “What did you say about my eyes?”
“uh... they sparkle?”
“Do you like them?” Her mouth was turned up at the corner, as if she was joking.
“I do-” said Robin, his voice cracking peculiarly. his ears felt like they were on fire. Tiki was close to him now, closer than she'd ever been. Her eyes really were something else. He'd been thinking about them.. a lot. He'd got lost in them more than once in the past weeks- failing spectacularly in training because he was distracted thinking about those brilliant emerald eyes. And now they were so close to him-
“I like yours too, Robin.”
Robin self consciously reached out and touched his face, “You do?”
“I like all of you, Robin. Since I met you. I’ve liked every... single bit of you. not just your eyes, or your arms, or anything superficial like that. ”
Robin couldn't believe what he was hearing. was she really admitting.... that his feelings were mutual? That what he felt was... reciprocal? He didn't know how to react, what to do, or what he should feel- “Tiki-”
“Why do you think I brought back all those rotten fruits, Robin?”
“I honestly have no idea, Tiki.”
“Because I wanted to get this off my chest. When you and Chrom rescued me.. I’ll never forget that. I’ll always be grateful to Chrom, and I’d give my all in battle for him. But I’d give even more for you.”
“Wait- hang on.” Robin held out a hand to stop her. “If this is going where I think it is- If you’re going to say you’d die for me or something-don’t.”
“What gave you that impression? I was going to say... I’d give my heart to you.”
Robins embarrassment at having misread the situation was quickly smothered as every hair on his head and every nerve in his body lit up at her words. This was a declaration of love if there ever was one. He sorta felt like he couldn’t breathe. “Tiki? You really mean that?”
Tiki smiled. “Of course. And I don’t mean that lightly. You know I've walked the earth for hundreds of years, right? Ive seen things you wouldn't believe. But nothing ive ever seen makes my heart feel the way it does when you speak to me. I wanted to confess my feelings to you, but... I know how devoted to your duties you are. That’s why I picked all the rotting fruit- you’d know that the army couldn't eat that, so you’d come with me. I knew you mightn't not if I just asked. And, well, I know that you might not even.. feel the same way about me as I feel about you, so...”
Tiki broke off blushing, and twirled a finger around a long strand of green hair. Robin tracked its movements, transfixed. “Its funny. I’ve lived for so much longer than anyone I know... but even so... I still don’t know how humans work.”
Robin took a deep breath in- it was now or never- and he grabbed both her hands in both of his. Her skin was even softer than he'd envisioned. “I don’t now much about humans either, Tiki. It’s funny... we’re so different. I lost so much of my memory it only feels like I've lived not even a year- and you've lived forever- and yet. Well. Some god of fate has brought us together, huh?”
“You mean, you feel the same? Really, Robin?”
“Tiki... absolutely.”
Tiki smiled with the radiance of a million brilliant suns. Just before her and robin drew closer together and their mouths met and the sun fell like amber liquid behind the horizon, Tiki muttered only one thing, almost to herself:
“I know that to love him I must watch the world move past him. But such short years make an eternity worth living.”
I love how Lukas and Forsyth are both such good boys right there, both would probably treat a woman like a freakin princess, and actually make sense to be with a priestess/cleric like Silque who travels the world to heal people and stuff, but no, the guy the fandom pairs her with is Python
Python, the sarcastic realist who would literally drag his feet and complain, probably crack jokes at her expense, and all around they’d be a bickering pair
Don’t get me wrong I ship Silque with all three of them and literally cannot choose one. I mean this is literally between my four favorite characters in Echoes. I just find it absolutely hilarious that Silque and Python is the one of the three that gets any content.
