For the fic meme I toss a 1 and a 6

1. What’s your personal favourite thing you wrote this year? 

This is the eternally difficult question, isn’t it, lol. *sighs* Well, okay. If I had to choose one particular fic, I would probably point to A Sinking Memory. That one really is a culmination of emotion and feelings and such that I honestly wasn’t sure I was capable of evoking. And I almost didn’t write it at all, believe it or not.

But my favorite idea/WIP to write is absolutely wings!Zoe. Zoe has become my new obsession to write because I love the character type that she has canonically, and that I’ve headcanoned, so she’s like my own little project. And the fluff/humor possibilities for Zoe and wings is just so much fun. I have so much planned for that, it’s my comfort writing.

6. What’s your favourite piece of dialogue you wrote this year?

Aaaannd another hard one, which is fine because I don’t mind getting a few of these in the good ole ask box. Means I have more to pick out. Hmm.

Okay, okay, so this question is giving me a lot harder of a time than I thought it would. So here’s probably the cutest moppet!Douxie material I’ve ever written that makes me feel very soft and melty inside.

“Right you are, clever boy,” Archie praises. “What do you think would be a good birthday?”

“Umm...today?” Douxie glances at the shapeshifter, a look of confusion on his face. “I guess today is a nice day.” The sunnier weather and breaks in the clouds certainly lend itself to the boy’s words.

“No, I meant...ah, well. You’re right. Today is a nice day. How about we call today your birthday?”

He’s such an adorable lil soft bean here who is very distracted by the world around him, and Archie just goes with it like the perfect cat-dad/brother he is. I thought that this was like, wholesome comedic genius when I wrote it, lmao.

Oh oof, I’m not sure? I’ve had some angsty fic ideas but a lot of my angstiest ideas come from aus that have never become full-fledged fics or from rp threads rather than fics proper. There’s gonna be angst in A Sleep Like Death but I wouldn’t say it’s top-tier angst, and I can’t say what it is bc spoilers ahaha

I gueeeess the angstiest I’ve gotten involved a thread I was doing on my Vivi rp blog with theforgottenpepper-- where they thought Arthur had been killed by a wild animal because he’d gone to meet Lewis in the woods-- Lewis blamed himself and Vivi initially took his reluctance to spell out exactly what was going on to mean that he’d murdered Arthur himself, and the trauma of that thought was enough to break the spell that repressed her memories of Lewis.

There was going to be more to that story but Hellbent dropped almost immediately after we’d finished the first part and then all three blogs involved ended up going dormant alas :’>

Question: Have you seen the B&B Broadway or heard the music? I found them both in a charity shop a bit ago as it's my mother's favourite Disney film and it's GORGEOUS.

I have! I went to see it on stage as a birthday gift both when I was about 7 and then again when I turned 21 since it’s my fave disney film-- I love the stage version a lot :> (tho it’s still second place to the film which just has a special place in my heart lol )
