Here’s an example of a stand off between two characters who don’t say any words but the tension is felt very blatantly which Jason said my story reminded him of. I quite like the awkward blinking and the head turns the penguin does when the camera is switching between him and Gromit which shows the relationship is already stand-offish and uncomfortable. His expression always stays the same but you can still start to feel annoyed with the penguin as the evil character even though he's just looking into the camera and moving his hands. No words are spoken but the slight sound effects help to increase the suspense throughout. I want to try and apply this to my animatic.
