could you write a fic where y/n calls Dogday their husband to see how he would react to it?
Since I doubt they could ever legally be married, maybe after years together, y/n just thinks it feels right for him to be referred to as that

"I'm ordering pizza." You call into the house. Dogday, nestled on the couch with a conked out Peanuts and Biscuits, watches you dart in and out of rooms as the phone rings, trying to get orders and preferences. "Poppy! Cheese? Or pepperoni? Kissy wants Canadian bacon right? Guys??"
Dogday chuckled to himself, quietly not to wake the kids all cuddled up on his chest. Biscuits gives quiet purrs as he gently pets along the kitten's back, while Peanuts kicks and rolls side to side, only protected from falling off Dogday and the couch by a well placed arm.
He's so preoccupied with his boys he almost doesn't notice you return. You're out of breath, phone up to your ear as you give him an exhausted look. He chuckles again.
"What do you want?" You ask, voice hushed.
"Just pepperoni is fine, angel."
You eyeball him. "Meat lovers it is." Dogday huffs at you, but you're already talking on the phone. "And my husband would like a large meat lovers pizza please."
You wander off, leaving Dogday struck on the couch. He stares at you, watching you dance around as you chat with the pizza place on the phone. Did you even realize what you called him? Did you mean it?
Dogday flops onto his back, heart hammering loud enough to wake Biscuits. The kitten lazily stretches, batting away a stray limb flail from Peanuts, and crawls up Dogday's chest to curl up under his chin.
"Our kids." Dogday recalls you saying, in reference to the two mini toys that followed you both around everywhere.
That would. . . make you spouses, wouldn't it? He'd be your husband. The father of your kids.
A whine escapes Dogday, loud and distressed as he covers his face in embarrassment.
"Ah!" You jump, not expecting such a loud nose. Especially when high pitched crying follows it up. "Sorry. . . My family is a bit rambunctious."
Your family! Dogday grins into his palms.
It's a dream come true.
