Nicake Timeline February 2025
I know I said this was coming Thursday on 12-2, but I am actually having surgery that day so you get it 1 day early. 🥳
So here we go.. February 2025.
2 February
We kick-off the month of February with speculation that Jake and Nicola have recently spent time in Jake's hometown. Jake follows a friend's girlfriend from Nottingham who reciprocates the follow and also follows Nicola. This assumption is supported when Jake posts a photo of his friend Nick on a TV that matches the TV in an old clip of his grandmother watching Renegade Nell. Rehearsals for A Streetcar Named Desire have either already started at this point or will be starting soon and Jake will spend most of February in Sheffield.
4 February
Nicola uploads a photo of a box from Catbird jewelry and tags the shop. This was posted shortly after fans made posts speculating about the ring. Some fans take this as confirmation from Nicola that the ring she wears is in fact the J ring from Catbird. Others think this could be an early Valentine's Day gift. To be clear, no one knows for certain what this story means. But to me, it definitively proves Nicola owns a piece of jewelry from Catbird and substantiates the fan sighting of Nicola and Jake buying a J pendant at Catbird NYC back in October.
12 February
Jake's birthday! Nicola shares a pic of him taken during their time in Malta. Again, she uses the dark red heart emoji. At this point, it seems safe to say this emoji is definitely connected to Jake. Fans also notice this photo was likely taken on the same day as the photo seen on the background of her phone because the shirt, hair, and trailers in the background all match.

13 February
Nicola shares an old NY Times article about trolls and bullies the day after Jake’s birthday. This seems especially pointed after a certain group of fans on X coordinated a campaign to bully Jake on his birthday. The message from Nicola couldn't have been more clear (in my opinion), yet still those fans refuse to accept any blame for their actions.
16 February
Jake and Becky have a joint "Jecky" birthday celebration with all their friends. They have custom shirts with the two couples Becky and Noe and Nicola and Jake on one row and Jake and Becky with their friends on the top row. Several friends post pics from the party and Nicola comments "It was perfect wasn't it."
18 February
Adam Broussard, the MUA who works with Nicola when she's in LA, starts following Jake.
24 Febuary
Nicola attends the SAG awards in Los Angeles. Although I don't like to bring up certain topics here, it seems impossible to mention this without talking about a certain fandom's reaction to seeing Nicola and Luke together again for the first time after Bridgerton S3 Pt 2 aired.
However, Nicola quickly shuts down the shipping with a story reminding everyone that Luke is her buddy. She also follows Luke’s girlfriend Antonia and Antonia follows her back.
Jake likes a picture of Nicola posted by Variety. He also shows his support by sharing her pic posted by the SAG awards account. When she shares her own post, he quickly likes and comments "Nicola." And she likes ONLY his comment.
February may not have been a very eventful month with Jake busy in rehearsals and Nicola busy filming and traveling to L.A. but they still managed to be exceedingly adorable and share some of MY favorite moments.
I am excited to see what they will share in the remaining days of February 2026.
