I gotta start throwing out peanuts for the crows- They WILL be my friends.
I've been feeding this flock of crows that decided to hang out in the hopes I'll develop hot Goth vibes, but all I got was a loud 'CAW CAW MTHERFCKR' telling me to feed them
So I went out to feed our crow friends because they were cawing at me from outside the window and when I went out, giant handful of unsalted peanuts in hand, ringing their little food bell and calling out for my 'pretty babies' (the nickname that they all respond too) I made eye contact with our neighbor across the street.
For more context, I looked like a little homeless witch from some vague historical-ish-inspired medieval period, and the yard was already filled with like, 3 crow friends hopping around excited for their peanuts.
I tried to save the situation a bit by giving a little nod and smile, and a little wave as a friendly not-crazy neighbor might do.
I think the effect was ruined though as 2 more crows swooped from over her house behind her to glide into the yard in front of me
As she drove off from the scene of the disheveled goth homeless-looking witch (me) feeding crows (which was now the full family of 6, btw), I had such a strong realization that I don't want to know what other people think of me, like at all. Like, if I could not be in y'all's brains, that would be great. Please never think of me, and I will eventually scurry back inside the house, thank you and goodbye.

Fed my pack of Malaks today too! 😂 Julian would be proud of me! lol
The local crow family... I think there’s just three. They fly to the wires next to my balcony and wait for me to throw peanuts over onto the Starbucks awning right below for them to pick up. I pretty much always oblige.
