My relationship with this pose has changed and evolved over many years of practice. At first it seemed absolutely impossible. Just thinking about it seemed to play tricks on my mind. I couldn’t understand how it was biologically and anatomically feasible to survive. But then I tried under the guidance of my teacher and like magic the pathway started to open. Now it hasn’t been a steady progression. The pose disappeared for a little while and it took new technique to bring it back. As for today, my attitude is to practice with no expectation and see what happens as I listen to what my body wants to do. Which one do you prefer? 1 or 2?
