Rock Star/Olympia by Hole slaps. I wonder what it's about? *looks up song meaning* Holy fuck it's about riot grrrl and possibly about that cool lady Kathleen Hanna? Oh what's that, there's a NOFX song called 'Kill Rock Stars' that is also a diss on Kathleen? *listens to KRS* Wow that is a terrible song. The queen responded? Wait this is that TikTok song :D [Deceptacon. Certified bop] yes i have a Kathleen Hanna obsession now Umm okay what's this song called 'Why I Like Bikini Kill' now? The title sounds like a cute fan son- lmao okay men need to stop writing terrible songs about riot grrrl 💀

Oh and btw

1. The song titled 'Rock Star' on Live Through this by Hole isn't actually Rock Star? The original song contained the lyrics "How’d you like to be Nirvana/ Said you’d rather die" and just a week before the album came out... yeah. Now, because the album artwork was already ready at this point, Olympia replaced Rock Star but the name remained the same.

2. The title 'Kill Rock Stars' is a reference to a compilation album of the same name featuring multiple artists, including Bikini Kill, Bratmobile and Courtney Love. The Bikini Kill song [Feels Blind] slaps tho.

3. Interesting how Deceptacon literally says "Let me hear you depoliticize my rhyme" and TikTok took the song and just used it as catchy background music for memes tho. This is something to be noted tbh, 'Strawberry Blonde' was turned into this merely aesthetic cottagecore thing too.
