Don’t get me wrong, I love Feitan when he’s mean but something just tells me that he’s have a soft spot for his s/o.

He tried to keep his cool, he really does..!! But he just can’t help the way your nose scrunches up and your eyes fill with tears, the way your cute pout when your upset, it’s tormenting for him to refuse. However, one flaw he has that he hates himself for, he can’t comfort you. The most he’ll do is pat your head or so but when you’re in private, he can’t help but snuggle up like a little kitten.

But you know when he’s sweetest? When you’re asleep. He can’t help but admire you, looking around swiftly before planting a kiss on your cheek, he’s embarrassed of that. He’s embarrassed how captivated he is by you. But slowly, slowly but surely, he’ll start warming up to you and become even sweeter as time goes by.

In the past, he’d easily be able to tell you to shut it or threaten you but now, he’s fallen so deep in love that he can’t help but give into every whine.

If you’re in the phantom troupe, your relationship is like this; everyone knows but he won’t admit it till you’re at a certain point in the relationship. It’s honestly so obvious, the way he picks you up when you passed out or are just too tired to, well he’s basically dragging you but being careful not to cause any injuries. If there was a lot of rocks or anything that could cause your already wounded self to get extremely hurt, he’d pick you up. He would either drag his friends or just leave them there so that was a bonus. The way his gaze becomes much softer when he sees you, it’s so obvious that he likes you. The way he even stuffs his face deeper into his bandana to cover the slight warmth around his cheeks.

He really loves you, just doesn’t know how to show it. Be careful and guide him through, he’ll be grateful. :3

random phantom troupe headcanons / thoughts

including: chrollo, shalnark, feitan, nobunaga, illumi, general phantom troupe

warnings: possible spoilers, nsfw, brief mention of torture, lightly proof-read

chrollo is really into astrology. when you think about his character it makes a lot of sense. chrollo believes in fate and destiny, and how we cannot change it. that’s why he’s so amused by characters like hisoka and gon, because they try to change their destiny. and one of astrology's main themes is destiny and fate. astrology gives people identities, something that chrollo is constantly looking for outside of himself. because he cant accept that he is himself. i would go more into the astrology topic, but i don’t know enough about it to get into great detail without sharing misinformation.

shalnark and feitan aren’t that different from each other. both are scarily sadistic it just manifests in different ways. shalnark is generally very friendly and one of the more outgoing phantom troupe members. he’s a nice dude, but he’s not kind. niceness is like a mask, it’s a common courtesy. kindness comes from the heart. i think the only genuinely kind member is nobunaga, but i’ll get into that later. shalnark is more of a psychological torture guy, while feitan is more into traditional torture.

okay back to nobunaga. i very much think that he is the only truly kind member of the troupe. (this headcanon is not based on how he was as a child by the way) i recently read a nobunaga analysis (here) and it only furthered my belief in this headcanon. simply the way he feels for others is very kind, and how he acted towards gon and uvo specifically. as well as some parts in the manga. he’s definitely very compassionate and understanding, especially compared to the other members. i think some of the other members are capable of kindness, but they wouldn’t be described as “kind”. two other members that come to mind are chrollo and pakunoda. they are both quite compassionate, as seen during their sentimental moments. (chrollo when reacting to members’ deaths and paku’s pre-death gun scene and her small interaction with the cat) but i wouldn’t call them “kind”, but instead more in-tune with their emotions. but, i think deep down inside all people are capable of kindness, so it can be hard to say.

illumi isn’t as clueless about love as the fandom makes him out to be. his only real reference for “love” is his parents, and they actually really love each other. knowing how kikyo is, she’s probably very doting with silva like she is with her children. and silva seems pretty compassionate as seen in his interactions with killua. silva also showed genuine concern for kikyo’s safety when killua threatened to kill her during the election arc. illumi has definitely learned from that, even if he doesn’t fully understand it. he wouldn’t be the best partner, but he’s more affectionate than he comes off. and i also firmly believe that he is not a virgin. i wouldn’t say he gets around like hisoka and chrollo, but he definitely has a few bodies. he’s human too, and he understands that he has human needs.

a good handful of the troupe members get around frequently. i read a headcanon saying some of the members have had sexual and romantic encounters with each other and I AGREE. i think the members who sleep around the most are (in order) hisoka (obviously), uvo, chrollo, and shalnark. maybe phinks but I think he’s so angry and intense because of how pent-up he is. i also think paku and nobunaga are the types to have intense flings with people every now and then… and they can last months. some members i think do not get around are machi, franklin, and feitan. they’re just not very interested and are too busy. i think shizuku is in the middle. i don’t think she’s a virgin and she has partners once in a while but she’s not actively pursuing sex. she just goes with the flow.

the troupe members dynamics are constantly changing. i feel like there’s very clear friend groups inside the troupe. like uvo, nobu, and shalnark are a very clear group in my eyes. as well as phinks and feitan. i feel like chrollo and pakunoda are a part of their little group together. i think the others are more loner types, but the original members still all share a special bond. member-to-member conflict happens a lot in the troupe, you can see this with nobunaga and some of his interactions with franklin and machi. I don’t think anyone dislikes each other (not including hisoka) but tension is common.

Shalnark is not afraid of your ability at all

He has DEFINITELY asked you to use it on him before to which you kindly said no to

ALSO I think if you two are just randomly walking down the street he’ll be like ‘hey manipulate that person into buying us some food’ out of nowhere (and idk about you but I would do it )

In the beginning of your journey with the troupe he’d always try his hardest for them to let him go with you whenever you have to split up with the group

But you walking around alone is part of the facade of making you look like a normal civilian so he wasn’t let every single time :((

Don’t worry though !! That makes the reunion 1000% more wholesome heuheuheu

Shalnark would very much sit you down after every mission and ask you to tell him everything that happened

Partially because he needs to keep track of what happened for the mission but also because he wants to hear you talk about your ability and it gives him time to admire you :))

Feitan:

It’s a rough start with this man,, he was quite threatened by your ability at first because that would mean that you can easily turn your back against the troupe

But overtime he finally worked up to you and you two got together which leads to currently where he’d usually tail behind you whenever you go off on your own

Everyone tells him not to but he don’t listen aksdhfjks he just wants to admire you from afar !!!! And make sure you’re doing okay

But no one is allowed to tell you that he tails after you -- just some kinda pride thing he has no one knows why even

Also he DEFINITELY uses your ability to threaten people

Like if they ever make him irritated he’ll just  be like ‘i’m about to call my s/o over and they’ll use their ability so you better cut that out’

Works everytime 

Phinks:

Despite the fact that Phinks is dating you he’s going to be the one that’s staying the FURTHEST away from you when you use your ability

Because here’s the thing right -- I’m very convinced that Phinks is VERY gullible so Feitan and Shalnark probably told him something about your ability that’s just so far from the truth like “you’ll start balding if you’re too close to y/n when they use their ability” and it scared the life out of Phinks

He’s still cheering for you dw !! Just,, from a far distance

Also he thinks your ability is so so cool, would brag about it to others and then emphasize how it’s just so powerful that you can’t even demonstrate because it would be too risky

No but every time you have to split from the group during a mission he’ll give you a big gesture as goodbye and then just scream as you’re going you’re own way

This dude is literally about to expose your locations by how loud he’s yelling ‘YEAH GO GET EM BABE’ it’s just a mess Shalnark is so so close to taping his mouth shut

Feitan: *behind Phinks* you got better at dancing .

Phinks: *faces Feitan* Really?

Feitan: Yeah, you used to dance like a zombie. Now you look like you're waiting for the next available washroom.

Phinks: *Throws his phone and headset to Feitan* You could've stopped at the first part!

Milestones: Feitan

Asking out:

You asked him out. Feitan never really bothered with relationships, why should he? It never concerned him. Though I have to say I can see him being in a relationship back in Meteor City, but never something serious. I personally don´t think that Feitan would ask you out first because of two main reasons:

1. He doesn´t believe in love and crushes, he thinks it´s super stupid and annoying. He doesn´t have time for it and why should he make it? He sees it as a weakness, asking you out would mean admitting defeat

2. His fear of rejection 

So you´ll have to do the first step here, but don´t worry, he´ll say yes (even if it´s partly out of politeness)

First date:

He´s definitely team dinner date. In his opinion it´s perfect because you can get to know each other and talk in a quiet setting. But also if it should get awkward you still have food, so you don´t have to awkwardly sit next to each other and just....silence.

First kiss:

He´s a bit of a shit when it comes to that since he just feels you staring at his lips so much but be so hesitant. He thinks it´s cute cause you don´t want to do anythng he´s uncomfortable with, besides you don´t even know if you´re serious yet or not, or will ever be. 

“If you wanna kiss me just do it already, it´s getting annoying” 

First one saying I love you:

You do. Love is so scary to him, he never wants to say it at all even though he has to face the truth. When you tell him he will straight up leave for 2 weeks, not saying anything to you and then come back, clinging onto you with his head on your lap, saying it back.

Sharing a bed:

Honestly this kind of just happens. He always goes to your place after a mission and just flops down on your bed for a nap. Usually you leave him alone since you know he´s not always in the mood for physical touch. And sharing a bed seems too intimate at this point. But that´s when he makes the first move and just pulls you towards him. He doesn´t say anything but it´s very clear that he needs you close

Moving in:

Actually that´s the easiest thing in your relationship. Feitan is always hanging out at your place anyway to avoid the others on busy days, he needs his space and can´t always deal with their chaos. Besides he likes being in your presence way more. He´s not very vocal about his love for you but it definitely shows, he always makes sure you know. And so he´s the one to ask you if it was okay for him to move in because he doesn´t want to be away from you too long and wants to come home to you.

Being intimate:

This is a weird one because intimacy is super important to him but at the same time he doesn´t know how to do it. But then also does?? Like he gets super clingy sometimes and cherishes you so much, shows that too. But he still doesn´t understand the concept of intimacy and is kind of sad sometimes because he thinks he doens´t do enough. 

Sharing everything:

Now this is really hard for him. He doesn´t want to keep secrets for you and he doesn´t. However talking about his past is really rough for him since he doesn´t want to relive anything of that. Despite telling him that he doesn´t have to tell you he still does because he wants you to know everything about him, he hates secrecy more than anything else so he´s always honest with you.

Loosening up:

He thought that was going to be the hardest part but it´s actually the easiest. He was so scared of you leaving him when you saw his true nature but you forced it out and showed him that it was what you loved about him. It´s so easy to joke around with you, to have fun and not in a forced and annoying way.

You got info from Pika about his next mission wherabouts and gave Churro a detailed breakdown of everything. Feitan happened to be spying during this and finally let the sus meter down.

He still might be a bit careful around you, but at least he knows you're loyal for the most part.

Shal will probably keep tabs on you for a bit, but he won't treat you any different.

He's pretty smart so he'll realize soon enough that you just have contact with the chain user for info, and he's okay with that.

Sometimes he gets a bit overprotective though, only because he doesn't want you to get found out. Kurapika finding out you're a spider I mean.

He will not tell you anything about Phantom troupe if you are not a nen user , he just don't want to put you in danger

He invented you at his home to spent more time with him since it's passed almost 3 months since you and him oficializeted your relationship

And you and him finish to watch and he gett off his shirt because it was too hot

You never see him shirtless until now so you can't do anything just can stare at his big muscles and perfect skin

And you notice his tatto on his chest and you ask him if you can touch it and he agree, he knows that this is just an excuse to touch his muscle, after a little bit he take the hand that's touching his tatto and he put it on his heart

His heart start to beat faster when you asked him about the tatto, you aren't even thinking about the possibility of him being in Phantom troupe ,you are just curios about it

Same as Shalnark, if you are not a nen user he will not tell you about Phantom troupe to not put you in danger(the real danger in this relationship is him lol)

And he is pretty good at keeping this an secret, unlike Shalnark, he can keep his secrets for a lot of time because he doesn't speak so much

It's not confirmed where his tattoo is, and you see him shirtless too so his tattoo is not on arms or back or chest or belly, and I think it's on his right leg

You will probably found out about it after the first night you spent with him

While he wait you to fall asleep after the long night you spent with him, you ask him what's with the tattoo from his leg

And he thinks a little bit to think and he decides to tell you the truth or he try

After you found out, he will not let you break up with him, if you found out about it that means that he trust you, and will be very bad for you if you want to break up with him so let's not talk about it

He isn't violent or something like this with his s/o even sometimes it's seem like he would slap you if you don't shut up,but for him will be the same even you found out about Phantom troupe

If you become (more) scared of him he will not do something with this because he doesn't really know what to do with it

Feitan is possessive and easily jealous.

He does NOT like seeing other people flirt with his partner, and the Spiders will often do so just to get a rise out of him.

His partner will probably be covered in hickeys, bruises, bite marks, and other superficial injuries often. He likes marking his territory.
