Felicorn is a large, burly Maine Coon cat-unicorn hybrid, with a very squarish face and long, ripply fur. He has a large broad muzzle and tall, tufted ears. His neck fur is thick and lion-like, and his cheek fur droops down. He has a thick, plumed tail and huge, wide tufted paws. His legs are long and sturdy, and he has a broad chest and shoulders. Felicorn’s fur is the longest around his neck, tail, and hind legs. Felicorn’s fur is pure white, which also means whichever “emotion form” he dons is solid-colored. Felicorn also being pure-white also makes him distinct from many of Unikitty’s ancestors. Felicorn is also depicted in the realistic style with tufty white ear furnishings and long whiskers. Felicorn also has a light pink nose and pink inner ears. His horn and eyes are blue. The fur on his chin his shaped to resemble a goatee.
Felicorn is very pompous, taking pride in a lot of his achievements, but the main thing he wears like a badge of honor or medal is having survived the gorge as a baby. From a young age, he was raised to be confident and headstrong, and this is shown through his prideful nature. He sometimes cannot tell how much boasting is too much boasting, so others sometimes have to remind him when he has said enough and his point has already been made. However, his confidence and ego have also allowed him to be very bold, usually facing a difficult situation head-on and grabbing the bull by the horns.
However, while he wore his achievement of having survived the gorge when he was too young to remember, others not feeling the same way about such a thing was once a difficult pill for him to swallow. It took him several years of knowing Unicat, Unitabby, and other Dawn Peak survivors to understand that what might seem glorious in theory may not be that in practice. This used to show up as him trying to force people to see it the way he did without regard for how they felt. While he understands better now that many experiences are subjective, Felicorn still often has to remind himself to hold his tongue when someone’s opinion differs from his despite the urges to try to get them to view something differently. His relationship with Unicat started out fairly rocky at first because of this, because she did not see surviving the gorge as a victory the way he did, and it took shared victories and failures to understand that he instead should just be supportive, regardless of how they experience something. How he has reframed the thought was by telling himself that while he is glad to have survived, ideally no one else should have to go through what he did.
One of Felicorn’s strong points in a relationship is his sense of humor, and is very good at making everyone in the room laugh with a good joke. He is also a prankster, with one of his favorite pranking tactics being covering himself in something and pretending to be something he isn’t. Bringing out laughs is Felicorn’s way of fun. In addition, when he did form a close relationship with others, he latches on so tight that he reveals an especially brave, selfless side, especially toward Unicat. He is well-known for his willingness to sacrifice his own life for her survival. Felicorn’s dedication to the loved ones he has held close for survival fed this absolute dedication, and tenderness toward them. He can be laid-back, and this is one of the ways he comforts others, simply by letting his calm energy radiate. Unicat often thinks about his distinctive, inviting gaze, and credits his playful nature and passion as what helped her adjust to life in the Brightest Uplands.
Like many other unicorn cats, Felicorn change his fur color based on his emotions. Because of his already-white fur, his scared form looks a little different than the others, so in his scared form, only his horn and nose lose their color. Felicorn also is able to fly.
Felicorn is able to correctly identify almost any plant, rock, or animal on the first try due to how he grew up. Felicorn is also a strong fighter with incredible grip and upper body strength, going as far as to climb up a Doom Lord’s back once. He is also fairly skilled with survival tools, such as rope use, and taught Unicat these skills. Felicorn can also be very good at persuasion.
- Unicat likes to call him “Snowy” as a form of affection.
- He is nearly as large as Caticorn, making him the third-largest cat among Unikitty and Puppycorn’s recent ancestors (second-largest being Caticorn, and largest being Unifeline).
- Felicorn’s white fur is inspired by Delilah from Homeward Bound 2: Lost in San Francisco. Delilah is a pure-white Kuvasz dog, which became the inspiration for Felicorn’s fur color.
- When he was younger, he discovered he loved covering himself in whatever he could find outside, and usually prank people by pretending to be a monster. It was most common for him to cover himself in debris from bushes. Even after Felicorn stopped doing so as a pranking tactic, he has considered seeing if he could scare Doom Lords away by doing it.
- In real life, white cats with blue eyes have a higher chance of deafness in one or both ears than other cats. However, Felicorn can hear just fine out of both ears.
