Simon who's SO greatful he's able to sleep in a bed again after being in the iron lung for what felt like an eternity

I highly doubt the COI would have had a comfortable living situation for him so maybe this is the first time he's had a bed in years (or in his life considering the limited resources after the quiet rapture)

He falls asleep so quick and is woken by Grace with a conserned Rocky beside him because human sleeping too long is new human okay question?

Simon who's afraid the bed will be taken from him (so much has been taken from him already)

Simon who cooperates in order to keep the comfort

Simon who one day just starts crying to Grace thanking him, of course Grace is so kind, he is mercy

Thinking about an AU where on the trip to Erid Rocky somehow turns into a human but he doesn’t even notice at first, all he knows is it’s so bright and too quiet and there’s colours and he has skin and every human sense is so sensitive and dialed up to the max

Grace tries his best to help dull all the stimuli he can manage (turning down the lights, getting him off the labs cold floor, finding ear plugs for Rocky)

They’re back to not being able to properly communicate because Rocky can’t talk and he’s crying and everything feels so strange

His only safety is Grace and he can’t even open his eyes to look at him (why is it so dark when they’re closed??) He’s so distressed with not being able to hear every part of the ship, panicking when Grace can’t be heard (thank gods he’s so loud even though he can’t hear his organs now)

He tries to stay awake even when he gets exhausted so quick after turning into a human (his brain is so overloaded with new senses it’s tiring) it’s easier for humans to force themselves to stay awake then it is for Eridians but Rocky just can’t stay awake

He’s scared when he feels sleep coming up, he’s scared he may dream now that he’s human, he doesn’t want to know what torture his mind will show him

He clings to Grace crying as he falls asleep

Grace watches him, he doesn’t want Rocky to awake up from a dream only to find Grace sleeping and unhelpful

It's really sad seeing so many fics where Rocky is ignored so that Grace and Simon can bond

Those guys are way to much best friends and co-dependent to let each other be alone with a stranger on the ship

Whumpee who after being placed with Caretaker and being told they're allowed to go outside without permission, sits or stands outside in the backyard at night just looking at the moon and stars, when it's raining or thundering they stay inside and look out the window instead, perhaps falling asleep there only for caretaker to put a blanket over them

Whumpee who has nightmares they wake up from completly silent from

They'd curl up into a small ball and cry

Caretaker would find this out eventually and whumpee would panic, that is until caretaker would pull them into a hug
