It was still dark besides the orange street light creeping past the curtains into the room, and Robin wasn't there. Felix, bleary-eyed and half asleep, had rolled, expecting his arm to slip over Robin's side, instead... nothing but empty bed. He whined at the absence and reached blindly across to the farthest side of the bed, Robin was small, he could've curled up in a corner.
"Robin?" Felix sat up, palm pressed against his eyes to wipe away the sleep and, hopefully, wake up the slow moving brain. It was too early for Robin to be up for work, even if they hadn't agreed to a few days off for recovery.
Not bothering to fix his appearance, hair a mess and pajamas very ruffled, Felix shuffled out of the room. Knocking on the bathroom door first, and then heading further.
Eventually he found Robin. Awake enough by then the bright kitchen lights only made him squint for a second before he adjusted. He watched the young man try, and fail, to open a pill bottle. "If the child lock is keeping you out, it might be a sign." Felix yawned and snatched up the bottle. Counting back, out loud, to figure out how long it had been. "You've got two hours, then you can have more."
A good thing about pajamas over nothing, or underwear, sometimes they had pockets, so he dropped the medicine into one, to take it back with them.
"Come on," Felix held his hand out for Robin, and gave a reassuring squeeze before he, slowly, carefully, dragged him back towards the room. His voice stayed uncharacteristically soft, and low, "You have to rest, kitten, if you need anything, tell me. Consider me your Agador for the week, at your beck and call, with shrimps if you want them, but no accent."
When they reached the stairs up to the bedroom, Felix didn't even wait for permission, he effortlessly scooped Robin up and carried him the rest of the way.
