"i went on a date yesterday," felix confesses.
your stomach does a slow, sickening roll. you’d been slumped lazily against him on the couch, your shoulder tucked firmly into his side, but now that spot feels scorching hot.
you shift your gaze from your phone to the tv. it’s off—just a black mirror reflecting the two of you sitting too close together.
"oh," you murmur. you try to inject a burst of cheer into it, though it feels like a physical weight in your throat. "that’s... good! how was it? was she nice? pretty? where’d you even find the time to meet her? where’d you go? was she—"
he lets out a low, warm laugh that vibrates through your side, cutting you off. it’s a sound that usually makes you melt, but right now, it just stings. "slowww down, would'ya?"
your cheeks catch fire. you immediately try to scramble back into your 'best friend' persona. "i’m just invested! it's literally my job. i have to make sure she meets the standards."
"and the standards are...?"
you pause, pressing your lips into a thin line. you want to say the standards are perfection. you want to say she has to love him exactly as much as you do, which is impossible. instead, you just shake your head and nudge your foot against his shin. "never mind. come on. give me the juicy details."
"it was okay," he says, picking at a loose thread on his hoodie. "i mean, i didn't really enjoy it."
you blink, the tension in your chest easing just a fraction. "oh." there’s a sad little lilt in his voice that makes you want to reach out, but you’re too busy feeling a selfish, guilty wave of relief. "why not?"
felix shrugs, looking at his knees. "well, for one, i don't like her."
"then why go?"
"i think i was trying to prove something to myself," he admits. he looks up at you, his dark eyes searching yours, prompting him to keep going. "i know this other girl. she’s sweet. she’s... everything. she could just look at me once and it’d make my whole week."
your heart sinks again, lower than before. "i—what? is this a different girl?"
"uh, yeah," he says, sounding sheepish. he reaches up to scratch the back of his neck, a bashful, lopsided smile tugging at his lips. "she’s it for me. i don't even think i have the words for it."
it’s an emotional car crash. first, the date: devastating. then, he didn't like her: hopeful. now, he’s hopelessly in love with a mystery woman: total heartbreak.
felix sighs, squeezing his eyes shut like he’s in pain. "shit, this is coming out all wrong."
"it's okay," you say, your voice softening despite the ache. you reach out, hovering a hand near his arm. "keep going. i'm listening."
"i just... i don't think she loves me back."
"are you kidding?" the words spill out before you can filter them. "you’re in love with her and she doesn't love you back? is she blind? is she okay?"
"she's amazing," he counters quietly. "honestly, i feel like i don't deserve her."
"felix, shut up. you’re incredible. she probably doesn't deserve you." you sit up properly now, turning to face him fully. you need him to understand. "'lix, you’re a total 10. you’re talented at everything you touch. i don't know what’s more impressive—your stage presence or those brownies you baked me last week."
you don't even stop for air. "you’re so considerate, you’re always there... and yeah, your jokes are bottom-tier, but the way you crack up after telling them is the best part of my day. and you're so pretty. i mean, that’s not the main reason i love you, but you are—"
"you love me?"
the room goes silent. your breathing hitches. your heart misses several beats in a row. "i... i mean, yeah! obviously! we’re friends, and friends love each other. it’s a... a bestie type of love. total platonic soulmate vibes. right?"
felix leans in, his expression turning intense. "hey. look at me. be honest? please?"
there’s a plea in his voice that breaks you. you’ve never been able to say no to that tone. you let out a ragged sigh and drop your gaze to your lap.
"okay. fine. yeah, i do," you mumble. "not as friends. the romantic way. the 'i-stay-up-thinking-about-you' way." you brace yourself for the shift in the air—the awkward apology, the "i value our friendship too much" speech. you're already mourning the loss of him.
"hey, hey... are you crying?" he’s moving before you can blink, shifting closer until your knees touch. his hands are warm as they cup your face, his thumb brushing under your eye to catch a stray tear.
"jeez," you mutter, trying to duck your head. "i'm sorry. i didn't mean to dump that on you. can we just... forget i said it? go back whatever we were doing?"
"what? no. why would i ever want to forget that?"
"because it's awkward! i just messed everything up, didn't i?"
"oh, angel, not even close."
you finally look at him, confused by the softness in his eyes. "what do you mean?"
"i love you." he says it so simply, like it’s a fact of nature. "i love you. it’s you. it’s always been you. i was talking about you the whole time."
your brain stalls. "so... the girl? the one you're in love with... is me? then why the hell did you go on a date with someone else?"
"i was trying to get over you," he admits, looking a little embarrassed now. "i really thought there was no way you felt the same. i was trying to move on."
"are you serious? i make it embarrassingly obvious! i've loved you since forever."
he laughs, a genuine, breathless sound of disbelief. "this is so stupid. remember that day at the fairgrounds? when i won you that giant bear?"
"of course. it’s on my bed."
"that’s how long."
"lixie, that was a week after we met!"
"i know," he grins.
you grab a nearby throw pillow and whack him in the chest with it. "hey! what was that for?"
"for not telling me sooner! we wasted like, two years!"
he laughs, raising his arms to shield himself from another hit. "you didn't say anything either!"
you freeze, pillow mid-air. "okay. fair point." you toss the pillow aside and slide closer, tucking your head into the crook of his neck. "so... what now?"
"now? i ask you on a real date. no 'testing things out' this time."
"sounds good. i'm waiting," you tease. he goes quiet for a second too long, and you feel his heart racing against your ear. you pull back to look at him. "felix? wait, are you actually flustered now?"
"give me a second," he mutters, a deep pink spreading across his cheeks. "i just bagged the girl of my dreams. i'm having a moment."
"you're lucky i love you."
"believe me," he whispers, pulling you back in. "i know."
Author's note -> (my entry for the secret stay event by @emmiesoverthemoon and @makeitworse) Happy late Christmas and New year @lililixie ! Hope you enjoy <3
The thump of music is silenced into a muffled buzz as the door shuts behind you.
Felix has hardly spoken to you in the last hour or so, and with nothing but the bitter cold and the sound of your footsteps between you, the tension it birthed becomes suffocating.
"Gosh it's cold, should've brought a jacket."
You remark, bringing your hands to you bare arms to demonstrate. Hoping somehow that the small comment will break the ice and in turn, whatever problems were simmering below the surface.
It doesn't.
"Mmn." He hums — brief and clipped.
The thump of music was even further away now, abandoning you to suffer the strain between you alone like a punishment for something you don't even know you've done.
"Thanks for dropping me home." You turn to him, this time more antsy as you once again trying to lighten the air with small talk.
"No problem." He turns his head away as he delivers you another clipped response, the tension in his clenched jaw now highlighted by the streetlight overhead. His face, usually so soft and warm, looked so much harder like this — with this simmering anger.
It's hard to pinpoint when in the night your usually sunny and good natured friend's expression grew as stony as it is now, but it first became clear when you'd re-approached him after immersing yourself in the party atmosphere and catching up with friends you hadn't seen in a while. Drink in hand, grin on your lips, having the time he said he wanted you to, you asked when he wanted to go home.
"Now."
It caught you off guard. He was usually in his element in people-dense places filled with close friends and people he could get to know. But he was the one driving you home, so the call was his.
At first you'd worried something happened — a quarrel or unwanted presence he wanted to escape from, but that explanation became less and less likely when his cold demeanour continued to be directed at you — specifically.
The car ride was agonising, and although they only seemed to tighten the taught string of tension between you, you can't help but nervously dish out useless comments that were usually unneeded between two people so close.
"Nice night, isn't it?"
"It was good to see Jisung after so long."
"Music was a bit loud, wasn't it?"
All of which you'd get a more detailed answer from a magic eight ball.
You've been in the car twenty minutes now, and still this tense silence persists, any attempt to ease it through small comments or conversation starters proving futile by the brief, clipped responses of the man beside you.
Felix barely ever got mad at people, but when he did? It was quiet. Unmoving and punishing in it's silence.
It was even rarer for him to direct this anger towards you.
Eventually, you address the elephant in the room by asking the one question that should've been asked from the beginning.
"Felix, are you mad at me?"
He tenses, his face seeming to harden even further. Looking away from you as he makes a left turn, he ignores the question like he hadn't even heard it — like you'd brought up something unspeakable. Something that would be detrimental if answered.
You continue. "Felix if I did anything to upset you please just tell me."
The words leave you lips only to fall softly — helplessly into the air between you in another failed attempt, and the silence that follows is so empty, and you feel as though it'll never be broken.
"I didn't invite you to come with me just so you could flirt with my friends." He says suddenly, turning his head away from you as he makes a turn as if he's trying to keep the words from travelling in your direction. But they do — they hit you like a slap in the face and leave you bewildered, stunned into completely freezing.
Flirt...? Did you hear him right...?? For about 10 seconds you retrace your steps from the night, sink back into your jumbled memories and try remember every last person you spoke to, but in terms of revelations you come out empty handed.
"Flirt? What are you talking about??"
He must've felt insulted enough to look at you, because for the first time since he'd soured, his eyes found yours.
"Are you serious?" The question is blunt. "You were all over Jisung from the moment you saw him. It's like that's all you came for."
You're floored, unable to do anything to stare at him with your mouth hanging, first in shock, then in offence.
"I was not 'all over him'," Your own tone grows hostile with defensiveness now. "he's my friend, I hadn't seen him in a while and we were catching up."
He scoffs.
"Yeah, 'catching up'. Your arms were slung around each other the whole time while you were talking. You looked like a clingy couple who don't know how much pda is appropriate."
"We're close!"
"Oh you're close alright. Y'know I don't think you took your eyes off each other for a single second while you were talking, and you laughed at everything he said. Every single thing. Never stopped smiling, like he's the funniest guy in the world."
There's an accusation to his voice beyond what's already been layed out between you — an unspoken betrayal you don't know the source of yet one that is still being held against you.
The car slows to a stop at a traffic light, it's red hues casting down on you as if to fit the theme
"I was in a good humour! Isn't that why you invited me? So I could get out and have some fun??"
"You can have fun without flirting with my friend right in front of me!"
"I didn't flirt with anyone!"
"Well you're not good at hiding that you like him. You were looking at him like- like he was something special."
You almost snap back, flick more venom at him as revenge for the absurdity he's spewing your way, but then…
"You never look at me like that."
It's small, the continued tone of hostility not reaching it like it comes from a feeling too tender and sensitive to yell about — a deep sea pearl forming in the shell of his heart long before this moment… and you don't know what to do now that it's in the open, suddenly yelling doesn't feel right anymore.
The light goes green, and he drives on. The smooth sound of the running engine fills the space as you try to process his words and find some kind of response to them.
"What..?"
The sudden soften in your voice, the genuine, gentle confusion, sparks the bitter anger that has died down momentarily, stronger now — punishing, vengeful and oh so hurt.
"You never look at me like that." He snaps "You never look at me like I'm- like I'm ever going to be more than I already am. I'm not special, I'm familiar; Felix who you've known for years, who you see all the time and who already knows everything about you. Nothing new, nothing exciting or special or desirable. Just constant. Constantly there but never…"
He gulps — a stutter or hesitation.
"never anything other than that."
His words tumble out clumsily, loosing the cold sharpness they previously had and crumbling into a messy display of pent up heartache and frustration — they don't have the edge to hurt you with intention, only to make your heart ache with the rawness of them.
"You are special Felix… You're important to me, you're my friend—"
"I don't want to be your friend!" He roars suddenly, leaving everything eerily still.
You can see his adams apple bob like a lump he's trying to swallow, his chin trembling before tensing in an attempt to hold back what was now trying to spill out of him — he knows he's just changed what's between you in a way he'll never be able to go back on all because of that stupid little string of impulsive words, and for the first time since this argument began — he regrets what he's just said. Or more-so, saying anything in the first place.
You stare — still as the silence between you, at the man beside you. Not with particular concentration on the way his facial features are curling, but at the new light that's now shone upon him. Sitting with the fact that nothing is ever going to be the same ever again with a sort of astonishment.
And you're not finished doing so as the car makes a familiar turn into your apartments parking lot, soon swinging into the space Felix always parked in a few moments later.
"Get out." He commands, voice gravelly, jaw tensed in stubborn bitterness that doesn't come as naturally as it did earlier.
You don't answer. You don't move, not even your eyes, and the stare only fills Felix with an urgency to get you away from him.
He turns his head head further away from you like a sulking child. "I said get out."
Slowly, you return to earth. To the moment your mind abandoned being present in, your focus now fully absorbed by the collapsing sight that is Felix; turned away from you, elbow on the armrest of the car door and fist under his chin as his words sit between you. Getting out of the car, leaving him like that… It doesn't feel right — it aches.
You clamber across the glove box before your mind can form a second thought, hitting your knee against the gear stick as you scramble for him.
He snaps his head round, not even getting to take the sight of you in properly before your knees begin clumsily digging into his thighs to find balance.
Your lips crash into his, and he stops breathing.
You take his cheeks into the palms of your hands, holding him there like his lips would run away from you, and he sighs like a weights been lift off his chest when you come back for more after the initial kiss. You lean into each other, moulding your mouths with an intensity that borders on overwhelming.
His hands crawl up to your lower back, resting there with his fingers curled slightly into the fabric beneath it, like he wants to pull you close but is scared to break this delicate moment. He's not even completely sure you're real.
When your lips finally pull apart from one another, and you lean back enough to get a good look at him, he's looking up at you with wide, bug eyes that don't look like they even recognise you — like you're a stranger on his lap.
"What was that??" He asks, blankly.
You almost laugh, and despite it not leaving your lips your eyes curl slightly with the warmth of it.
"A kiss…"
"Why?" He blurts.
You don't answer, not right away, and at your hesitation he impatiently leans forward, tilting his head to lock your lips as securely as possible. His hands move upward, no longer hesitant, forearms pressing against your shoulder and ribs to pull you into him.
He'd waited forever, and finally it felt like he could breathe again. The catharsis was too much, too great.
His breath stutters against your mouth as his eyes begin to burn. But he doesn't pull away, only brings his palms up to cup your cheeks just like you'd done, determined to kiss you even if he does it weeping.
HONK!
You both jolt at the abrupt, obnoxious noise. Felix had leaned you too far back and straight into the horn of the steering wheel, and you both sit staring at each other like you've been caught doing something you shouldn't have before falling into soft, breathy giggles — his forehead tipping forward against yours, cheeks graced with wet streams that catch the light of the moon.
The moment is gentle, like there had never been an argument and the air between you hadn't been strained for the past two hours — no, now you melt into each other like this was always how it was meant to be.
"So uh…"
You tilt your head. "So what…?"
"So…" He continues "what does this mean…?"
For someone who was grasping at you like he needed you a few moments ago, he seems adorably shy now. You smile, and reach up to cup his face and swipe your thumb across the wet paths his tears left behind.
"That…" You trail off to find adequate words. "I don't want to be friends either. Not—not just friends, more than that…"
A warm, beautiful smile blooms on his lips, one you barely get to see before they're on yours again — drinking you in, kissing you sweetly as if to seal those words.
He pulls away, but not far. Staying only an inch or two away from your face.
"Can we uhm... go inside…?" He asks sheepishly, like a teenage boy that can't contain his excitement.
"Huh—?" You snap your head towards the view of your apartment building from the car window, forgetting the purpose of the journey in the first place.
"Oh— yeah, yeah come on." You scramble to gather yourself, reaching for the door handle and clambering out, turning around to clasp Felix's hand once you're on the ground. He grins at the contact, intertwining your fingers as he rises, and you both set off into the cool night air.

a/n: sorry for the late post, guys! It took me longer than I expected 😭. But it’s finally here! I really love this one, because Felix is soo caring and just what I need rn (I’m on my period y’all 🥹). It’s 2am here, I’m gonna go sleep now. Enjoy!!
The first thing you feel when you wake up is a hand gently shaking your shoulder, then a voice calling your name.
“Y/n, love.” It’s your boyfriend’s voice— deep, but soft. You shift in place, intending to stretch, and that’s when you notice a strange sensation between your legs. It’s wet.
Your eyes snap open, and you don’t even have time to think about what it could be before you sit up in bed, forcing Felix to pull his hand back, and look at the… the crime scene.
Maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration—most of the blood is in your pants and only a little made it onto the sheets, but still—you stained them.
Hesitantly, you turn your head toward your boyfriend. He lifts his eyes from the blood-stained sheets to meet yours, offering a small, reassuring smile that seems to hide a hint of uncertainty.
You feel mortified. You feel the urge to cry, but nothing comes out—not a tear, not a sob.
Instead, you suck in a sharp breath, and his eyes immediately fill with concern.
“It’s okay,” he reassures you, then seems to second-guess himself. “Is it okay?”
You lower your gaze and let him move closer, placing a hand on your thigh where the blood hasn’t reached, gently stroking it with his thumb.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t think it would come today.” you apologize, shame washing over you.
“You couldn’t have known,” he says kindly. “It’s okay.”
“Felix, it’s disgusting, and these are your clothes— fuck,” your voice comes out cracked. “Look at the mess I made.” You lower your eyes to the red stain on the white sheet, “Doesn’t it gross you out?”
“Hey, don’t say that,” he frowns. “It doesn’t bother me, not even a little.” He cups your face in his hands and turns it so you’ll look at him. “It happens. It’s okay, it’s just laundry—nothing to worry about.”
You look into his eyes for a few seconds, searching for any sign of doubt, and nod at his words when you find none. He smiles softly.
“You go take a shower now,” he runs a gentle hand through your hair. “I’ll go buy you some pads, okay?”
You nod again. “Thank you,” you smile, grateful to have such a caring and understanding boyfriend. “Do you want me to show you a picture?”
“I’ve seen them so many times, I know exactly which ones they are by now.” He chuckles and you do too.
“Let’s clean this mess first—” you stop suddenly when a sharp pain hits your lower stomach and you feel warm liquid soaking through your underwear —and probably reaching the bed— eliciting a muffled groan. “No, never mind, let’s do it later.”
He watches you shift around, trying to ease the pain, feeling bad seeing you in discomfort. “No, I’ll do it. Don’t worry. I can also get the painkillers you use.”
“No, it’s okay. I can handle it until I get home.”
You don’t know why you say it, because honestly, it feels like you can’t even stand another half hour.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah. Don’t worry.”
He nods.
But when you step out of the shower, you still find the pills on the sink —right next to some pads and clean clothes— and his thoughtfulness melts your heart.
When you leave the bathroom, he’s just finishing making the bed. He looks up at you and gives you a tender smile, a touch of pride in his eyes at the sight of you wearing his clothes.
You huff a quiet chuckle. “You know I could’ve just put on what I wore yesterday, right?”
His cheeks tint with a soft, almost imperceptible blush. “Yeah, I know. But I wanted to see you in mine. You look cute.” He smiles sweetly.
Then he comes over, wrapping his arms around you in a warm hug and pressing a loving kiss to your forehead. You stay like that for a while, wrapped up in each other, in comforting silence.
“I’m sorry about what happened,” you say for what feels like the hundredth time, but he shakes his head.
“No more of that. I already told you—it’s all okay. The bed’s clean, and I can always get new clothes. See? No big deal.”
You hum and snuggle a little closer to him.
“I love you,” he says suddenly, his ears turning a little red at the words he’s still not quite used to saying.
You look up at him, a little surprised but happy to hear it. “I love you too,” you reply, your face flushed. He gives you a soft peck on the lips, and the two of you just look at each other for a while.
But that quiet moment is cut short by a sudden noise.
Your face burns with embarrassment, your ears flaming as you hide in his chest.
Felix’s laughter only makes it worse.
“Hungry?”
“What do you think? I haven’t had breakfast yet.” You mumble, your voice muffled against his shirt, trying to hide your embarrassment behind a normal tone.
“Pancakes?” he suggests.
Your eyes light up at the suggestion, and you look up at him with the expression of a delighted child.
“Yes, please!”
He laughs at your eagerness and how adorable you are.
—
“Do you feel like going out with the guys? We can go another time if you’d rather.”
You and Felix are cuddled up on the couch watching TV. Your back rests against his chest, one of his hands gently stroking your stomach, while the other holds you close.
How could you say no to him? You made these plans a week ago, and you don’t want to cancel last minute just because your period started and you’re not at your best. You still look presentable, and both of you had really been looking forward to this hangout with the guys.
“No, I’m fine. I still want to go.”
Felix nods at your response. “I’ll be at your place by 3.”
And he is. You’d gone back home after lunch to get ready, and Felix came to pick you up—though not before having to wait an extra 10 minutes for you, as usual.
Now you’re at a bar with Felix, the rest of the members, and Chan’s girlfriend, whom you’ve recently grown close to.
“You should’ve seen Minho’s face when that little girl called him ‘dad.’ It was hilarious,” Seungmin grins, amused by the memory, and everyone bursts out laughing—everyone except Minho.
“I can totally picture it,” Hyunjin laughs.
“Do you really want to end up in the air fryer, Hyunjin?” Minho threatens, and Hyunjin instantly stops laughing, glancing around nervously.
“Is it because you feel old now that a kid mistook you for her dad?” you tease with a smirk. You’re one of the few people who can get away with it—just like Minho has a soft spot for Felix, he has one for you too.
Felix’s arm is wrapped around your waist, his fingers gently stroking your side as he laughs at your comment—and at the tongue Minho sticks out at you in return.
A little while later, you excuse yourself to go to the bathroom. You’ve had the pad on for a few hours now, and you definitely need to change it.
The restroom has three sinks and two stalls—one for men and one for women.
You stop in front of the mirror first, checking your appearance and simply taking a moment to look at yourself. Then, suddenly, a sharp cramp hits you, making you double over with your hands on your lower belly.
You should’ve brought your painkillers with you.
You huff in frustration and rest your hands on the sink, leaning on one leg. That’s when it happens. Warm liquid begins to run down your leg—your position caused your pad to shift.
Caught off guard, you straighten up, trying to keep your baggy pants from touching your thigh.
Damn these white pants. You knew you should’ve worn black jeans.
But as you head into the women’s stall, it’s impossible to keep them from getting stained. That clean white fabric turns into a dreadful shade of red.
When you pull them down and sit on the toilet, you see the full mess you’ve made on your thigh and pants, and tears begin to blur your vision. There hasn’t been a single thing today that your period hasn’t ruined.
You should’ve stayed home.
A sob catches in your throat.
You don’t know how much time has passed, but apparently, you’ve been gone a little too long, because Felix walks into the restroom, looking for you.
You try to stop crying and settle enough to answer him, but when a heavy sob escapes your throat, the tears start flowing down your cheeks again.
“Y/nie?” your boyfriend calls out, approaching the stall you’re in. “Sweetheart, what’s wrong?”
You don’t answer.
“Can you open the door for me?”
Still no response—but your sobs slowly quiet down until they stop, and finally, the door clicks open.
Since it’s just the two of you in the restroom, he opens it just enough to see you but doesn’t step in, wanting to give you space. Still, it’s so hard for him to stand there, seeing your tear-streaked face and the way your bottom lip is quivering.
“Sunshine, what’s going on?” His voice is deep but soft—reassuring.
The words die in your throat, so you lower your eyes to your pants—and he understands. You’ve already tried to clean your thigh the best you could, but there’s still some red left.
“Is that the reason? Baby, it’s okay. It happens. Nothing we can’t fix.” He offers you a gentle smile—but is surprised when fresh tears start falling down your cheeks again.
That’s when he quickly steps inside, shuts the door behind him, and kneels in front of you. His hands cup your face, his thumbs wiping away your tears—and in that moment, you’re so thankful he’s your boyfriend. He presses a soothing kiss to your forehead.
“I-I don’t even know why I’m crying,” you say, your voice cracking. “It’s just…” you sniffle, and he waits patiently, nodding. “It’s the second time today, and it’s ruining everything. And now I’ve got stained pants and all this pain, and I didn’t even bring my pills with me. I ruined the hangout, and I’m afraid I’m bothering you too.”
“You’re not annoying me—you never could. Don’t even think that, okay?” he reassures you. “I’m sorry you’re having such a hard day, love. I get how you feel, and I hate that it’s going like this. I wish I could take some of the pain away so you wouldn’t have to feel this bad.”
He places a hand on your stomach, gently stroking it, a small pout on his lips. “Is it hurting a lot?”
You nod, sniffling. There’s a dull, radiating ache that reaches down into your thighs, making it feel like they’ve been split in half. You just want to go home.
“But I can still help make your day better,” he says with a soft smile. “Let’s go back to my place and cuddle in bed. How does that sound?” he asks sweetly, and you nod, closing your eyes for a moment and leaning into his gentle touch.
“Good. No more tears now, okay? It’s going to be okay. I’m here with you.” He gives your thigh a comforting squeeze to reassure you.
Afterward, he leaves you some privacy to finish cleaning up, waiting just outside your stall. When you come out, he offers you his hoodie to tie around your waist and cover the large red stain on your pants. Then the two of you return to the others, just to say goodbye before leaving together.
At his place, you find yourself in the shower for the second time today, while he prepares a cozy spot for the two of you to spend the rest of the afternoon cuddling.
He also quietly slips into the bathroom to leave you some fresh clothes. When you get out of the shower and see them, you almost start crying again because of how thoughtful and loving he is. Out of all his clothes, he picked your favorites: a pair of soft gray sweatpants you always wear when you’re at his place, and a worn-out white shirt you often wear when you snuggle, especially after sex. There’s also a black hoodie that’s way too big on you —which is exactly why you love it— and a pair of fluffy blue socks.
When you leave the bathroom, he’s already waiting for you on the bed, and you immediately throw yourself into his arms. You stay like that for so long you lose track of the minutes—or the hours. You could stay like this for days without ever getting tired of it.
One of his hands gently rubs circles on your back while you absentmindedly scratch his arm with your nails.
“Feeling better now?”
You hum. “Yeah, much better.”
There’s a cartoon playing softly on the TV in his room, and outside, the occasional sound of cars passes by. Everything is so calm and peaceful, you don’t want to get out of bed for at least a few more days, or months—or maybe ever.
But of course, things can’t stay perfect. You let out a whine when a sharp cramp tears through your lower belly, making you squirm, your face contorting in pain. Felix coos and places a hand over the spot that hurts, tracing soothing little circles.
Damn your body.
Felix leans in, pressing a gentle kiss to your cheek, then your lips—once, then again, and again. You’re not even sure how you ended up with your back on the bed and him hovering over you, but it doesn’t really matter.
He starts leaving sensual kisses down the side of your neck, trailing lower until he reaches the hem of the hoodie you’re wearing.
Then his lips brush against your ear.
“You know, I heard orgasms help with period cramps.”
He bites your earlobe gently.
“Wanna give it a try?”
Then he licks and sucks it. He doesn’t give you time to answer before his lips crash onto yours again. Both of his hands slip under your hoodie and T-shirt, finding your hot skin.
“Please, baby? I really need you,” he says softly, needily.
But he quickly notices your hesitation and pulls his hands out from under your clothes.
“We don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to.”
“It’s not that I don’t want to,” you admit, avoiding eye contact. “It’s just… we’ve never done it while I was on my period, and I’m scared the blood might gross you out.”
But he gently takes your chin and lifts your face to look at him.
“Baby, I’m not a kid. A little blood doesn’t scare me,” he says confidently. “And it definitely doesn’t gross me out—especially when it’s from you.”
You smile, then nod. “Okay, then I want to.”
He gives you a kiss on the lips before getting up to grab a towel, which he lays under you to avoid a mess neither of you will want to clean up later.
You undress each other quickly, down to just your underwear. He kisses your stomach, just below your belly button, while his fingers toy with the waistband of the boxers —his boxers— you’re wearing. “Can I?” he asks, checking that you haven’t changed your mind, and you answer with a quiet, “Yes.”
He pulls your underwear off quickly and tosses them to the floor like he always does—only this time, they hit the floor with a weird thud because of the pad, making you cringe.
His fingers move skillfully between your folds, teasing you before slipping two inside, making you gasp—and he lets out a low groan. His fingers might be short, but they hit that sweet spot just right, and he knows exactly how to work it, making your hips buck against his hand in pleasure.
He adds a third finger. “Feels good, baby? You like my fingers inside you?”
You nod quickly. “Yes,” you moan.
You try not to focus on the squelching sound, aware that it’s louder because of the blood. You don’t even dare to look down, afraid of seeing his fingers stained red or the mess probably already soaking into the towel.
“Felix, can you— please touch my clit too?” you ask, voice soft and shaky.
He smiles, clearly happy you’re telling him explicitly what you want. And he’d be lying if he said seeing your innocent face and hearing that shy little request didn’t make his cock twitch.
He lets a string of spit fall from his mouth onto your pussy, collecting it with the thumb of his free hand and bringing it right to your clit. He rubs in slow circles —side to side, up and down— knowing exactly how you like it.
“Good girl… just keep telling me what you want, yeah?”
“Can- can you…” You gesture toward your tits, and he gets it, chuckling.
“Wanna feel my mouth on these pretty nipples?” You nod, and he doesn’t waste a second—licking and sucking just the way that has you writhing under him.
Your eyes roll back and you let out breathy, broken moans, completely overwhelmed by how good it all feels—by all the attention he’s giving your body.
He pulls back for a moment. “Gonna make you cum on my fingers first—then I’m gonna fuck you nice and deep.”
And just like that, he picks up right where he left off.
Felix is so hard in his underwear he thinks he’s going to lose his mind if his cock doesn’t get touched soon. He tries to grind against the bed, but it’s difficult from his current position. So instead, he finds your leg and starts grinding against it, moaning around your nipple.
When you realize what your boyfriend is doing, you feel even closer to the edge. He’s really getting off on hearing and watching you fall apart.
“Lix, I’m close. I’m so close—”
His fingers move faster, both inside you and over your puffy clit, and within seconds you’re coming on his hands, rolling your hips against his fingers as he keeps moving to help you ride out your orgasm.
When the intense wave fades, your hips collapse onto the bed. His touch leaves you for a moment as he wipes his fingers clean, then he’s back—kissing your lips, your nose, your forehead like he can’t stop touching you.
His hips have also stopped rutting against your leg.
“How are you feeling?” he asks, his deep voice soothing.
“Really good. Felt good,” you murmur in response. He intertwines his fingers with yours as you start sharing soft, chaste kisses. You both smile into them, and at one point, you even huff a quiet laugh through your nose.
“It turned me on, seeing you grind against my leg,” you say after a little while, placing your free hand on his cheek, then slowly sliding it down toward his chest.
“Yeah?” he says with a smirk, but the blush on his cheeks betrays him. “Watching you feel that good made me so hard I couldn’t wait anymore. But it still hurts…” He takes your hand and, locking eyes with you, guides it slowly down to where he’s hard beneath the fabric. His breath hitches the second your palm presses against him.
You start stroking him slowly. Eventually, your hand slips inside his boxers to feel him bare, and you pull him out, stroking him gently from base to tip, giving a slight squeeze at the head that draws a strangled moan from him.
“You’re so hard, Felix,” you whisper against his lips. “Don’t you want to fuck me?”
“Yes, please,” he breathes, a hint of desperation in his voice.
“Then why are you holding back? Fuck me like you mean it.” You squeeze his cock a little harder before letting go. Every trace of shyness is gone now, replaced by something bolder, now that it’s not just sweet and loving and all about you.
Felix whimpers involuntarily. He’d used every ounce of self-control not to bury himself inside you the moment you came. He didn’t want to overstimulate you and wanted to give you time to recover, but apparently, that’s not what you want anymore.
“Gonna enter you now, okay?” he warns, lining his cock up with your entrance. One nod from you is all it takes, and he’s sliding in with a single thrust, letting out a guttural moan. “So wet ‘n tight f’ me…”
When he starts moving, he seems more sensitive than usual, judging by the breathy moans and gasps he lets out. His hips don’t settle into a steady rhythm—his thrusts are fast and shallow, showing just how needy he’s been this whole time.
His hands, planted on either side of your head, are clutching the sheets tight in his fists. One of your hands grabs his arm, sliding down until your fingers find his, and when he notices, he intertwines them with yours. He rests his forehead in the crook of your neck and takes a deep breath.
His thrusts grow longer and deeper—pushing all the way in, pulling out just barely, then slamming back inside with force.
When you bring a hand to his hair, he starts kissing and licking your neck, sometimes sucking on your skin hard enough to leave marks that’ll be hard to hide—though deep down, he hopes you’ll keep them.
Your soft, high-pitched moans are something he could listen to for days. Your whimpers make his cock twitch and leak inside you. Your teary eyes are so damn beautiful, he could stare at them forever.
When he pulls back to look at you, his breathing is uneven, and his moans sharper than before. He’s close.
But he’s holding back for you, because he wants to make you come on his cock first.
God, your boyfriend is so sweet.
You clench around him, and he shuts his eyes to focus.
“Don’t do that, or I’m gonna cum,” he begs, desperate.
“You can come, Lix, it’s okay,” you reassure him, but you know that won’t be enough to make him give in. “I want you to fill me up nice and deep. I’m ready to take everything you’ve got, want to be so full of you,” you continue, hitting a weak spot of his.
His orgasm hits him suddenly, his cock spurting ropes of hot cum deep inside you. He gives a few more thrusts to ride it out, then collapses on top of you.
“Not fair,” he pouts when he finally lifts himself up and looks at you.
“You said that on purpose ‘cause you knew it’d make me cum. I wanted to make you cum on my cock.”
How can someone sound and look so innocent while saying such filthy things?
You laugh. “Next time.”
He pulls out of you slowly, carefully.
“My girl’s gonna cum, whether it’s on my cock or on my fingers.”
This time, he spits on your pussy, even though it’s not needed—you’re already soaked from everything you’ve done. Two of his fingers find your clit again, red and puffy, moving in small circles that knock the air right out of your lungs.
Those same fingers suddenly dip down to your entrance, collecting some of the cum that’s leaking out, only to slap it onto your most sensitive spot. You gasp and clutch the sheets in your fists.
He starts rubbing again, only to slap your clit twice more. His other hand grabs your thigh firmly and presses it down against the bed, as if to force your legs open—even though there’s no need, since you’re already holding them wide for him.
“You’ve been a bad girl, making me come like that. That should’ve been my job,” he says, landing a harder slap. “Let this be a lesson so you’ll think twice next time.”
The sudden change in his behavior has your head spinning. His two fingers pinch your clit a couple of times before resuming fast, precise strokes.
“Felix—” you choke out. You want to warn him that you’re about to come, but your climax hits you too suddenly, tearing a very loud moan from your throat.
You black out for a moment, completely lost in sensation—and you’re grateful to come back to Felix kissing your neck sweetly and whispering soft praises.
You appreciate the affection he’s giving you, but you gently press your hands to his shoulders to push him back a little. “Lix, ‘m hot.”
He pulls back and lifts his head. “But I wanna cuddle,” he protests, nuzzling into the top of your chest and trying to kiss your skin there.
You sigh. “We will, but after a shower. I feel too sticky and gross right now.”
Felix nods and finally moves away. “I’ll go get the water ready,” he says, then gets up from the bed and heads to the bathroom—but not before bringing you a glass of water and some chocolate, which you accept with a kiss on the lips.
In the meantime, you finally glance down at the mess beneath you and scrunch your nose, wishing you hadn’t. You clean yourself up as best you can with the cleanest part of the towel, then grab it and make your way to the bathroom, tossing the towel into the laundry basket before joining your boyfriend.
You step into the shower together, and even though you told him you’d cuddle afterward, he spends the entire time touching and kissing you—if not on the lips, then everywhere else. His lips are soft, and his hands are gentle.
He shampoos your hair and massages your scalp delicately, and you do the same for him. His fingers slip inside you again, but this time it’s just to clean you up from his cum, as he murmurs apologies for the mess he made—not that he’s truly sorry, and you both know it.
When you get out of the shower, he lands a loud smack on your ass, making you gasp softly and slap his in return when he bends over to grab a pair of socks from the wardrobe drawer.
Once you’re both dressed and sitting on his bed, his arms wrap tightly around you, locking you in and pulling you close with no way out—not that you’d want to leave anyway.
You turn on the TV and find a comfortable position under the warm blankets.
Your back is pressed against his chest, which rises and falls slowly with his breath. One of his hands rests gently on your lower belly, stroking it softly.
“Feeling better now?”
“Yeah.” You snuggle even closer. “Much better.” You smile, resting your head on his shoulder with your face tucked into his neck. You press a small kiss to his skin before closing your eyes, soothed by his familiar, calming touch and the quiet sound of the TV still playing in the background.
You feel so loved and safe in his arms that there’s nothing to worry about when he’s with you—because you know he’ll always be there, ready to help you without judgment, staying by your side no matter what.

A/N: wrote this for my darling @enimsiyobeht
Your eyes reflected your laptop screen and exhaustion. The low hum of the air conditioner seemed to mirror the static in your head as your fingers flew across the keyboard, barely registering what you're typing. You were drowning - exams, papers, presentations, and an essay you've been procrastinating on because you couldn't string words together after your classes that drained all of your energy. You flipped through the pages of the heavy textbook resting open on your desk, trying to find the page a senior recommended as reference. A variety of other papers were scattered across your desk, held in place by your laptop and a mug with droplets of coffee drying on the inside. Your hair—messy from you running your hand through it as if you could clear your mind with your fingers—fell across your forehead.
You were hit with a random thought of food, like a pop-up message in your brain, making you realise you haven't eaten since lunch. Your stomach was filled with coffee and dread, but you kept typing. The essay was due in two days, and you have a full day of classes tomorrow. You tilted your head back with a groan, head falling backwards off the chair as you rubbed at your face with your ink-marked hands. When you opened your eyes, you were met with the sight of your rumpled bedsheets and those soft, soft pillows. Even upside down, it looked as tempting as sin. But you know if you so much as laid down, your brain would shut off everything else and pull you into sleep. You sat up straight again, an ache in your back lingering from sitting for hours.
Soft footsteps made you turn your head. Felix stood in the doorway, concern etched across his features. He walked in, pointing at your laptop screen when he reached your desk. "Save." You opened your mouth to protest, but he cupped your face with his sweater paws, your sweater sleeves falling below his palms. "Sweetheart, listen to me. You need rest," he chided gently, leaning down to kiss your forehead as your hand reached out to click 'save' on your file and snap your laptop shut. You melted into his touch, leaning in like a flower to sunlight. You felt like one in his presence, like you'd bloom through the hardest concrete solely because of his light. You wrapped your arms around him, resting your head on his stomach. The sweater now had a mix of your scents—his white floral perfume he's been obsessing over lately, and the woodsy fragrance he got you for your birthday. "I'm so tired, Lix," you mumbled into the soft fabric.
"Who would've thought?" he joked, pulling back and cupping your face again, chuckling when he saw your pout. "What? Don't tell me I'm wrong." You wanted to flick that stupidly adorable nose, but his smile and those stars dusted across his cheeks disguised as freckles were enough to make your heart swell, worry seeping out.
"You know I have a lot to get done. And then there's the exams and—" you groaned, pulling him into your lap and burying your face in the crook of his neck. He wrapped his arms around your neck, legs on yours as he carded his fingers through your messy hair, smoothing them out. He was warm, even when the AC made the room frigid enough to hang meat.
"You can do it tomorrow. Or you can ask for an extension," he said firmly, burying his nose in your hair. It was all you needed at the moment. Him. Even when the books and papers lay on your cluttered desk as a reminder of your deadline, your sun shone bright enough to block out words. "When was the last time you ate, hm?" His question made you burrow into his chest as if you could hide from it. Your shoulders were pressed against the back of your chair by his hands as he forced you to meet his gaze. "You look like shit."
"Am I still handsome though, love?" you teased, a weak attempt to change the subject. He tsked affectionately and kissed your forehead again, thumbs kneading your knotted muscles. You sighed, and his lips found your nose next, travelling down and meeting your smiley lips. He kissed your cheeks next, making you giggle and pinch his side. "Yah—"
"Hm? Don't like my kisses?" he questioned with a pout, a fake one but cute as always. You feigned a glare, although your lips failed to cooperate as you leaning in and kissed him—soft, sweet, thankful, and so in love. Your hands slid under his shirt, his warm skin a stark contrast to your cold hands. He gasped at the sudden chill, kicking your calf under the table. You hummed, and he could feel your smirk against his collarbone, pressing a kiss so soft to his skin as if he were sugar that would melt from the warmth of your breath.
"You're bossy," you complained, your face still buried in the crook of his neck.
"I made grilled cheese." You looked up at him, smiling softly. Your arms squeezed his body, earning a giggle from him that made your chest warm and soft. You had each of his little laughs memorised—his sleepy giggles, his loud cackles, his soft little chuckles, the huff he'd let out when he doesn't want to admit your joke was good, and these soft giggles you got when you were affectionate.
You couldn't catch yourself be whipped, of course, so you quirked a brow, teasing, "I didn't smell fire, though?" The bite to your shoulder was worth it, in your very humble and correct opinion. He stood from your lap, grabbing your hands to haul you up with surprising strength. You grumbled, trying to be all annoyed even when the smile on your face was as traitorous as your dancing heart. You let him drag you to the kitchen, you let him sit you down on one of the chairs and you let him feed you the slightly burnt grilled cheese that was gourmet to you who hadn't eaten in hours.
Later, laying in bed with him wrapped around you like an octopus, you were already drifting off. Your eyelids drooped, and you pulled him closer, holding him tight in your arms. "You didn't answer my question, you know?"
He looked up from your chest, face puzzled adorably. "What question?"
"When I asked you if I was still handsome?" He blinked. Once again. A disbelieving chuckle left his lips.
"Really?"
"Mhm." What followed was a kiss, a beautiful smile against your lips, and a tighter hug.
"The most handsome."
"Why thank you, darling." You reached out and turned off the lamp.

The afternoon sun spilled through the bakery windows, warming the little café in a golden glow. The smell of fresh bread, cinnamon rolls, and vanilla filled the air as you stepped inside beside Felix.
He held the door open for you with a smile.
"Ladies first."
You laughed.
"What a gentleman."
"I try."
The bakery was small and cozy.
Fresh flowers sat on each table.
Soft music played in the background.
Neither of you had stopped smiling since arriving.
It was your first official date after weeks of dancing around your feelings.
"Everything looks so good..." you whispered while staring at the display case.
Felix stood beside you.
"I think we should get..."
He paused dramatically.
"...everything."
You laughed.
"Everything?"
"Mhm."
"I can bake."
"But I also like eating baked goods."
"So..."
"I think that's a valid reason."
The employee laughed while taking your order.
Eventually, the two of you ended up with croissants, a strawberry danish, a slice of cheesecake, macarons, and two drinks.
"...Felix."
"Hm?"
"There are only two of us."
"I know."
"..."
"I got carried away."
Once you found a table by the window, you immediately started trying each pastry together.
Every few bites...
Felix would slide another one toward you.
"You have to try this."
"No, this one."
"Oh!"
"And this one."
"You haven't tried this yet."
You laughed.
"I'm going to explode."
"Worth it."
At one point...
You noticed powdered sugar on the tip of his nose.
"..."
"What?"
"...Nothing."
He tilted his head.
"What?"
You giggled.
"You've got something..."
He instinctively wiped his cheek.
"No..."
"The other side."
He rubbed again.
"...Still there."
He sighed dramatically.
"Can you just..."
You leaned forward.
Carefully brushing the powdered sugar away with your thumb.
"There."
For a second...
Neither of you moved.
Felix simply looked at you.
His cheeks slowly turned pink.
"...Thanks."
"...You're welcome."
A little while later...
You decided to split one last slice of cheesecake.
Felix took a bite.
Then his eyes lit up.
"Oh."
"Oh that's dangerous."
"What?"
"It's amazing."
He immediately held the fork toward you.
"Try it."
You leaned forward without thinking.
Taking the bite straight from his fork.
"..."
"..."
Both of you froze.
Your faces only inches apart.
"..."
Felix looked away first.
"...That was smooth."
You burst into laughter.
"I don't think either of us meant for that to happen."
"No..."
"...But I don't mind."
After finishing your desserts, the two of you wandered through a nearby park.
The weather was perfect.
Not too hot.
Not too cold.
Your shoulders occasionally brushed together while walking.
Neither of you moved away.
Eventually...
You reached a small bridge overlooking a pond.
The water reflected the golden evening sky.
"So..."
Felix spoke quietly.
"I'm really glad you said yes."
You smiled.
"I would've regretted saying no."
He rubbed the back of his neck.
"I was actually really nervous."
"You?"
"Mhm."
"I almost canceled."
"What?"
"I thought maybe..."
"...You wouldn't actually like me like that."
Your heart melted.
"Felix."
"I've liked you for a long time."
"You've just..."
"...Always been worth waiting for."
His ears turned bright red.
"...You're making me blush."
"Good."
A comfortable silence settled between you.
Neither of you felt the need to fill it.
You simply stood there...
Watching the ducks swim by.
Felix slowly reached for your hand.
"...Can I?"
Instead of answering...
You intertwined your fingers with his.
His smile somehow became even brighter.
"I'll take that as a yes."
A breeze gently blew a few strands of your hair across your face.
Felix reached over instinctively.
"...Sorry."
He carefully tucked them behind your ear.
His hand lingered for just a moment.
His thumb softly brushed your cheek.
"..."
"Can I kiss you?"
The question came out almost as a whisper.
You smiled.
"I was wondering when you'd ask."
He laughed nervously.
"I've been thinking about it all day."
"So have I."
Slowly...
He leaned in.
Giving you every chance to pull away.
Instead...
You met him halfway.
The kiss was soft.
Gentle.
Sweet.
Neither rushed it.
When you finally pulled apart...
Both of you were smiling too much to say anything.
"...Hi."
You laughed.
"Hi."
"I've wanted to do that for a while."
"I could tell."
"...Was I obvious?"
"Very."
"Oh."
On the walk back to your car...
Your hands never separated.
As you passed the bakery once more...
Felix stopped.
"What?"
He pointed toward the window.
"You know..."
"I think we forgot something."
"What?"
"...Another cinnamon roll."
You laughed so hard you had to lean against him.
"Felix!"
"What?"
"I'm just saying..."
"...We already had five pastries."
"Exactly."
"What's one more?"
Shaking your head with a smile, you walked back inside together.
Maybe your first date wasn't perfect.
Maybe you ate way too much sugar.
Maybe your stomach would regret it later.
But as Felix reached for your hand once again...
You couldn't imagine a sweeter way for it to have ended.

Felix's small hands curled into yours, his hands had only ever felt the ivory and lacquer in his father's office..... and apparently he had forgotten how to use his ears. "Felix, you're too handsome." The man who sat next to you tilted his head in boredom, the way his hair fell proved your point. "I'm just saying when people run away they almost always change their appearance. "And I'm just saying you're jealous". Felix grips your hips and pulls you towards him, allowing his chin to rest on your shoulder. His saccharine words were uttered in a deep hum. "We're in this together y/n".
Felix cleared his throat, ignoring the memories of all the times he watched from afar as you walked around your family flower shop, the moments where he wanted nothing more than to be known to you.
Both of you now sat crossed legged on a grassy hill trying to figure out a way for him to walk in peacefully and leave in the same way. It wasn't every day the son of one of the richest men in the country ran away at the age of twenty-four to pursue the love of his life.
You saw it at the corner of your eye and you edged away, "Felix no." Felix jabbed his fingers into your side with a little squeal before bouncing to his feet and running down the hill.
Rubbing your sides you made your way down the hill, albeit much slower than his large strides. "Get back here!".
Felix couldn't remember living a life before you, however, you remembered the loneliness of a little girl picking flowers in this exact spot, hoping that someone would find her and truly see her.
You lean against the closest tree, surely he didn't go that far. Closing your eyes you rest your head back, despite hearing the sound of footsteps you remain still, your eyes still refusing to open. When they flutter open he's there, his arms on either side of you. Felix's lips met yours in a warm kiss.
"Follow me."
Felix pulls away, motioning for you to follow him. You manage to catch up to him, as you do so he pulls you into his side, his arm wrapped around your shoulder. "I bumped into some kids, said there's a good swimming spot up here." He turns to you with a bright smile "Shall we?". What would have been words of love were laced in mischief.
Felix took the lead despite him being completely hopeless, but you let him lead, you let the branches of the surrounding trees thwack him lightly in the face, promising him kisses in return for his brave sacrifice. But for the time being whenever something scraped up against him you would trace circles on the reddish-brown sun on his palm.
The swimming spot in question was supposed to be a small lake, in reality it was more of a clear pond, adorned with lotus flowers that sat atop the water. You were awestruck, but despite what was in front of you the word effortlessly slipped out of your mouth. "You're beautiful." Felix cocked his head to side like a confused puppy, the context was lost on him and it sent him spiralling into a fit of endearing awkwardness. Choking on what seemed to be nothing, he held his hand up, all he needed was one minute. You were about to help him, but the urge to love and cherish him was immediately out of the question when he removed his shirt.
In that moment the world stopped spinning, you weren't even sure you could feel the light breeze anymore. Having him as your boyfriend did nothing to quell the nerves you had, despite knowing him for what felt like forever his bare body still made you blush.
"I know" He said it in a deep hum which revealed everything. He was doing this on purpose. "Oh yeah, right I guess I should stop saying that then." Felix laughs at your words and starts unbuttoning his jeans, making a specific effort to stand in a way that allowed the shards of sunlight that were streaming through the treetops to highlight his fine curves and muscles. "Felix, real talk though. I still don't know what to do with you, like right now I don't feel like my eyes even know how to comprehend you." Felix paused, his jeans were unbuttoned but that was irrelevant, he approached you reaching for a strand of hair and tucking it behind your ear.
"I know what you can do" His gaze flickers between your eyes and the hem of your shirt. He was always so gentle, it was in the way he looked at you, like you were the answer to all of his questions. Yet he was the one asking you if this was okay. Felix tapped your arm motioning for you to lift your arms as he removed your shirt. It wasn't until you were about to slip out of your flowy skirt that a harsh blush greeted Felix's freckled face. "So we're doing this." "Felix." "No I'm fine with it it's just, I could quickly run into town and buy swimsuits."
Giggling you bring him in for a hug, your arms draping around his upper back. "I've never seen you this shy, and you've seen me naked!" He rolls his eyes "Yeah but... you're right we're just two people swimming in their underwear no big deal." The moment he melted into your touch you helped him remove his jeans, covering his shaky hands with your own.
What Felix anticipated never came into fruition, yeah you laughed at him but it was laced with love. You had captured his focus so much that he willingly followed you into the water, you were guiding him like you were the fairy of this crystalline pool.
Leaving the grassy edge you made it to the middle, Felix noticed you gently pushing the lotus flowers aside to make way for the two of you. In your lifetime you had only touched flowers and Felix with that type of care, like you were scared of bruising them. His hands caressed your face as his forehead met yours, you tried to kiss him but he leaned away his body leaving yours.
It felt a bit childish but when he leaned away you felt a rush of shaky and intense emotions, you wanted to hold him close and never let go. You wanted to tell him that as a little girl you used to swim in this exact spot wishing for someone who bared a striking resemblance to him.
"Felix, you're unbelievable, you don't have to be shy." Felix had already waddled off again scanning the water for something. You couldn't recall him losing anything. It had taken him some time to find the right one, but when he did he walked back he brought his hands out allowing you to see what he was holding.
"I'm not shy around you but, has anyone told you that you are the beautiful one. Not me." Felix tried to fish it out of his hands, knowing that he had to be careful with its fragile petals. Felix managed to sit the small lotus flower in your hair, braiding your hair around it. Felix's voice was deep again, laced with honest passion "This is what I meant when I said I've found my beauty."

Summary: You were a huntress, trained by the Artemis' nymphs to hunt werewolves. However, you weren't prepared to find ,our mate this way.
Author's note: Here it is! I enjoyed writing it and I hope you'll like it too. There is definitely another greek mythology fic with Hyunjin I'll start writing now.
Wild, untameble and strict. These were the words how you would describe the goddess of hunting, the forest, birth and the moon. As well as the guardian of women and children. Artemis. It was your destiny to follow her. You and all the other huntresses who were led by her.
In the past, for over thousands of years, her adherents were nymphs, female, semi-devine nature spirits. After Artemis had climbed Mount Olympus and no longer walked in the mortal world, the nymphs trained some young women who were willing to live up to her ideals. Staying virgins and to hunt creatures that don't belong in this world.
Werewolves. Offsprings from Lykaon who was turned into a wolf as a punishment by Zeus. The trained girls hunted them until they were old. Then, the nymphs will take new girls, never older than six years old, and the training starts again. This procedure went on for over thousands of years.
And one thing they imprint in the brain is staying a virgin. Artemis rejected men and was an eternal virgin. Once, a nymph was raped by Zeus. When the goddess found out, she was furious. She transformed her into a bear and hunted her down.
You were once a young girl that was taken by a nymph to a temple and was trained. Due to the young age, most girls took over the mindset of the nymphs, adopting the goal to hunt werewolves down and to kill them. They taught the children to fight at the age of eight. At first only with the bare hands, then with weapons, especially with bow and arrow since that were the prefered weapons of Artemis.
With the age of 20, the training stops and you become officially a hunter. You travel around the world, killing as much werewolves as you can over the years. And that almost completely unnoticed from the whole society. You were trained like that.
Tracing the steps of packs, following them and then, when the time is right, you kill them.
You were now 24 years old. For four years, you were now travelling, mostly in South Korea. Currently, you traced the steps of a pack near Seoul. As far as you knew, they were only male werewolves, eight in number.
The pack alpha was just two years older than you, while the youngest was one years younger.
Right now, you followed one of the werewolves through the forest. Werewolves had an incredible sense of smell, however, the nymphs provided the hunters some sort of potion that suppressed their scent. That way, you could easily hide and shoot the male without being noticed.
Taking a deep breath and one final step, you concentrated on your target. Unfortunately, you stepped on a twig that broke. The werewolf turned around, growling at you. You let the arrow fly through the air, the moment his glowy eyes targeted.
You jumped back, back so that you could bring some distance between you and the creature. The man yelped and whimpered painfully.
Another pair of footsteps was behind you.
"Shit" of course he wasn't alone. That would be too good. You ran. When the other werewolf found you that wouldn't end well. An angry and pissed wolf is no fun. His claws ripped through your jeans, leaving bloody marks and tackling you to the ground.
You rolled around and threw a dagger at the beast, jumping up as soon as he was distracted and leaved the forest, climbing into your old car.
In the small apartment that you rented for the time here, you disinfected the painful marks and took a shower. You knew that the other pack members will now search for you. They want to get revenge. Revenge for their pack member you shot. Well, he isn't dead yet since the arrows didn't hit the heart or the head.
But the arrows are laced with a poison with silver and wolfsbane. It was extremely painful and the person will die when they aren't treated properly.
☆☾☆
You were on high alert all the time after the that. Due to the potion, they seemed to have problems in locating you. But still, a dagger was always in one of your pockets when you needed errands and stopped by a grocery shop.
With a big bag in hand, you got out of the shop, the other hand fiddling with the car keys. You managed to get the passenger door open and were just placing the bag on the seat when a hand shut it with force. Luckily, you managed to get your hand out just before the door fell shut.
"Seriously?" You exclaimed.
Immediately, you grabbed the dagger in your pocket but the person pushed you against the car while you turned around.
Even at night, you recognized the face.
"Hello there, Bang Chan. How can I help you?"
He pushed you against the car once more. "Save it, hunter. You hit one of my members."
"Jup. That was me. So he's still alive?"
He growled low. A slight threat.
"Yes, he is. And he will stay alive. Because you are going to help him"
A amused chuckle comes out of you. "Why do you assume that I will help? I'm a hunter. Not a vet"
"You don't get to decide" Claws digged into your back as he pushed you forward into the forest.
The walk was rather short and Bang's claws nicked you from time to time, reminding you that he was in force. And the big cottage came closer. That must be their pack house. A bulky alpha stood outside, eying you sharply. You were led upstairs into one room. There was another wolf, you assumed it was Yang Jeongin, the youngest due to his appearance.
In the middle of the room stood a huge bed and you immediately recognised the wolf that layed on it. It was the male that you had shot this morning.
Well, you can't deny that he wasn't pretty. Actually your type, wouldn't he be a beast. The black hair was a huge contrast to his pale, nearly white skin. His breath was uneven and from time to time, a small whimper leaves his lips.
"Help him, hunter. When you want to live a little longer" Bang exclaimed and took place next to Jeongin.
Well, there wasn't really a chance when you wanted to experience your next birthday. You took off your small jacket and leaned over the fragile body. Wolfsbane was deadly to werewolves but even humans could die. That's why the nymphs teach you how to heal such diseases.
You touched his forehead. He felt really cold, even though he was sweating.
"Okay, he needs to get warm" The younger wolf immediately left the room, apparently to search some blankets. You lifted his thin blanket and shirt to see the wound. The arrow was already pulled out and his chest bandaged, already blood stained.
Jeongin came back with blankets and threw them over the wolf's legs. When you removed the bandage, you could see some of his veins being light purple due to the silver. As long as the silver was in his system, he wouldn't heal. You couldn't do much because it was already in his blood system.
He needed to get through it to heal. You cleaned the wound and bandaged it new. Then, you threw all the blankets over him.
"That's all I can do right now."
"If he dies, you will die as well" Bang threaded and walked out of the room. You sat on the chair next to the bed. Apparently his temperature rised to the normal which was perfect. Well, that will be a long night.
☆☾☆
Something moving shot you out of your sleep. Apparently, you must have fallen asleep, watching the wolf over the night. You blinked a few times before you saw into the brown, more golden, eyes of the wolf. He was awake.
That's good. That means, he is definitely healing. Jeongin was soon beside you, relieved that his fellow pack member was awake now.
"Felix, how are you?" He asked. Felix, that was his name. When you collected information about the pack, you stumbled over his name a few times. He was an alpha.
"Fine, I guess. But what is she doing here?" Yeah, he was definitely pissed that you had shot him. Well, you would be too.
"I'm actually helping you. You're welcome" you grumbled and yawned. Hopefully, you could get going soon. You were starving. Hunting the wolves can wait.
"Yeah, helping me by shooting an arrow at me. How nice"
"well, that's how I am" you answered, giving him an amused smile. "Let me check a last time on you before I want to go"
You pulled the blankets down without waiting for an answer. Pushing the shirt upwards, you revealed his toned body. What a shame that he was a wolf. When your cold fingers touched his warm skin, he sucked breath in, flexing his muscles.
"Looks good. Can I go now?"
Jeongin sighed and you followed him through the house to the front.
☆☾☆
Little did you know that soon as Felix saw you that morning, his whole life changed. It changed because of you. And not because you had shot him but because the world became just a bit brighter, more colourful. All his life he had searched for you. His soulmate, his other half.
Seeing you there, he couldn't take his eyes on you. He didn't even noticed the arrow until it hit him. The pain took over and you quickly ran away, just when Hyunjin shot through the bush.
He had felt the silver travelling through his veins, making him slowly unconscious. The last thing he saw was Hyunjin who came up to him. A cut under his eye from the dagger you had thrown.
In the middle of the night, he woke up again. The pain was still there but bearable. He looked to the side and he saw you laying with your head on his bed, sleeping tightly. When you moved you shot up. And oh, you were beautiful but he was a little bit pissed that you had shot him. That wasn't how he wanted to meet his soulmate.
After you checked on him, you quickly exited the house. Hyunjin was already beside him.
"How are you, Lix?"
"Good I think." He mumbled
"Really Felix? You seem sad" his friend stated. Well, he wasn't wrong.
"She is my soulmate, hyune." Felix exclaimed.
"Shit. I'm sorry man" Hyunjin rubbed over his back.
One week later, Felix walked through the city. He and Changbin wanted to drink something at their favourite bar. And he definitely didn't expect to find you there. Next to you a man with a nasty smile. Was that your boyfriend? Jealousy washed over him but it deflated when he observed your body language.
Without you noticing, the man mixed something into your drink. Soon, you grew tired and before the man could lay his dirty hands on you, Felix pulled you to him. You were so befuddled that you didn't even notice Felix.
When you slipped, he lifted you with a wince. His wound wasn't healed completely. The rest of the silver stopped it from healing faster. But that was irrelevant. You were safe now, in his arms.
Changbin shielded you both from the man who protested. Then, the wolves brought you back into their cottage, earning a warning glare from Chan. You were still a huntress. Deadly and if you looked closer armed to the teeth. He pulled out the a dagger and a pistol that were secured in your waistband. And in your jacket there was another dagger.
Felix layed you on his bed. The same bed he layed just a week ago with an injury. Softly he took your hand. If you just could feel the tingles he felt when he touched you. Maybe then you wouldn't want to kill his pack.
For hours, he sat next to you, admiring your face. When you relaxed, you looked so kind and young. He wondered how old you were. Around 25? But definitely not older. Gently, he brushed a hair strand out of your face.
When you woke up, you didn't even realise that he sat beside you. You let out a yawn, that Felix found incredibly sweet, and tried to hide your face from the sun. Why did you leave the curtains open?
You turned and borrowed your nose in the cushion, smelling the scent. Wait, you couldn't remember that you went home. You shot up and saw Felix watching you.
"What are you doing here?" You exclaimed, searching for your weapons. You realised you weren't even in your apartment. No, you remember that room. You watched over Felix here.
"I correct, what am I doing here? I can't remember anything"
He chuckled. "Well, you were at a bar and a creep put something into your drink. You were almost immediately out like a light. I brought you here"
"uhm. Thank you, I guess."
"It's okay. I owed you" he exclaimed and his face was decorated with a pretty smile.
"Of course, you didn't owe me anything. I just shot you" you exclaimed ironically.
"I know. But you will think I'm a liar when I tell you that I saved you because you are in fact my soulmate" he told you and got serious.
You laughed. Funny, very funny. The nymphs told you about the whole soulmate thing.
"Funny. But I'm a hunter and definitely not bound with a wolf. Humans don't get bounded with wolves"
"Your wrong. It happens but really rarely" he tried to change your mind. You sighed. That's not good if he said the truth. All your life, the nymphs told you over and over again that falling in love is something that Artemis hated. She for it it, especially with a wolf. That's suicide.
"You know I should kill ya? I'm a hunter. Keeping your pack alive is against my principles."
"And still, I'm sitting here next to you. Clearly alive" he said with a sweet and amused smile.
You rolled your eyes. You hated how amusing it was for him.
☆☾☆
Just minutes later, you walked back home. Your head hammered and you were confused. Why would Selene, the goddess of the moon that was the cause of the wolves having mates, pair him with you? That was crazy.
Even if you two would start developing feelings for each other, the nymphs would find out. They would send another huntress to see why your presence has changed so much. There is barely a chance that they wouldn't find out.
Days passed and you tried to get your mind straight. In the meantime, you had hunted another, smaller pack some kilometres away from here. Now, you were finally back in your apartment and cleaned your weapons from the dried blood. You stilled, when you heard a knock. Who would visit you? Maybe the old, forgetful lady from above? She asks for your help sometimes.
The small dagger was placed behind your back for the possibility that it was someone else. You opened the door and Felix gave you a kind smile. In his hands, there were grocery bags.
"What are you doing here?" you asked rather fierce than friendly. Without asking he slipped into the apartment and took off his shoes.
"Courting my mate. Where's the kitchen?" He told you like it was something normal to be strolling in here. In the home of a hunter who was armed to the teeth.
"Are you crazy?" you questioned and crossed your armes as you followed him through the apartment. "Sometimes yeah. Now please tell me where your kitchen is, sunshine."
You sighed. It seems like Felix wouldn't go away any time soon. You directed him into the kitchen. "And don't call me sunshine!"
He chuckled and placed his bags down, rummaging through them. "Okay, I won't, sunshine"
"You're unbelievable" you just muttered. He placed meat and some other ingredients on the countertop.
"I didn't know what you like so I figured i would buy something simple that I can cook for you. And for the dessert, I baked brownies earlier."
While he cooked bibimbap, you observed him nervously. He pretends like he was really close to you. Like a real pair, not a huntress and a wolf. It was crazy how much he seemed to trust you when he stirred the pan, his back facing you. Theoretically, you just need to throw the dagger and he would be dead.
But you can't figure out why but something within you stopped you from doing that. That what you were trained for. Maybe it was the bond between you that made you change your mind just a slight bit.
He turned around, drying his hands on a kitchen towel, giving you a kind smile. "Can you please set up the table? The meal is nearly ready." You just nodded and grabbed plates and cutlery, placing it on the table.
During the meal, there was a silence that was really uncomfortable. It was like he wanted to say something and eventually, he initiated a full conversation with you after some time.
Two weeks passed and during that time, Felix often visited you. Soon, it was kind of normal to have him around for dinner and the cold wall that you had built up during all those years of training crumpled down and Felix got to know the real you. Someone who isn't just defined by being a huntress. You grew comfortable and even if you wouldn't admit it you loved to spend the time with him. You knew that you must move away rather quickly so that the nymphs wouldn't suspect something.
Currently, you were getting ready for meeting Felix at their cottage. You assumed that after he cooked for you more than seven times in two weeks it was just kind to return the favour and cook for him. He assured you that most of his pack members weren't there because they all had something against you. Not that this was unjustified.
A sudden knock let you slip out of your thoughts. Definitely that wouldn't be Felix since you would go to him this time. You opened the door and were shocked when you saw who was on the other side. Lila, a huntress that you grew up with in the temple. She was one of your friends and actually shouldn't be here now.
"Lila! Nice to see you again. What brings you here?" You welcomed her. A laugh erupted from her and she braced you into a warm hug. "Hello, y/n. I wanted to see you again after months of being separated."
"That's so sweet. Do you wanna come in?"
"Thanks. So how is the hunt going?" She was always like that, getting to the point of her stay instantly.
"Good. I took down a pack two weeks ago" she gave you an approving nod. "Good that. What pack do you hunt now?" What should you say? Since you got to know Felix, you weren't sure if all wolves are bad. You started to see that not everything the nymphs told you is true.
"I took some time off from hunting. I enjoy it here" you avoided the question. "Then we can take the next pack down together. I heard that here is a pack of eight" Great, that's just great. You can't defend Felix when she was here. You needed to warn him.
"Yeah, that sounds good" you mumbled. Without her noticing, you wrote Felix a quick message on your phone that you couldn't make it.
You could tell that he was disappointed but his life depended on it.
The next morning, you tried to get your mind free from all the heavy thoughts and decided to go on a quick walk. Jogging along the empty streets, you listened to your music and enjoyed the nature along the streets. Due to your earphones, you were distracted and wasn't prepared to be pulled into the woods. You yelped and held the dagger against the person's throat.
"Easy, sunshine. It's me" Quickly, you withdrew the knife and gave him a smile. "You're lucky, I didn't stab you. What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to see you. Why did you cancelled last night?"
"Another huntress showed up. She wants to hunt your pack. I-" you stopped when you heard the bushes rustle. It could be the wind but therefore it wasn't windy at all. With his heightened senses, Felix tried to detect what the noise was.
There was another rustle and you quickly pushed yourself over Felix, tackling him to the ground and your body above his. Just where Felix head once was, there was now a silver arrow, undoubtedly from a hunter. You got down from Felix and scrambled up to face Lila who walked out the bush with her bow aiming at Felix.
"Go away from the wolf, y/n!" She shouted.
"Lila, please. Drop the bow" you pleaded, your own dagger in your hand. You didn't want to hurt her. She was a former friend after all.
"Seriously? He is a werewolf! You used to hunt them!" She exclaimed angrily. You couldn't hurt her but you couldn't let her hurt Felix.
"I know it sounds crazy but he is my soulmate! Selene herself selected him as my other half"
"That's pathetic. Go to the side and let me take care of him. Now" her voice was cold and filled with determination. You shook your head and felt Felix trying to push you aside, giving Lila the chance to aim at his chest.
The arrow glided through the air and before it could reach it's designated target, you shielded him and the arrow pierced straight into your skin, just centimetres above your chest. The first blood drained your shirt in a deep red, a sharp pain shot trough your whole body, making it impossible to stand. Felix catched you, taking you into his arms. There where tears in his eyes when you looked into those brown spheres, they were the last thing you saw before the black void swallowed you.
☆☾☆
Fear took over Felix's whole body when he saw the arrow piercing through your skin. He held you, shielding you from the other hunter who still aimed her bow at him. It angered him how low it affected her that she just shot someone from her group. Or she isn't showing it. He let out a low growl as a warning.
Before she could harm you in any way again, Chan and Minho came out of the bushes. He had mind linked them earlier when you had talked to her and he knew that this wasn't taking a good turn. Chan knocked her over, slapped the bow out of her hand and before she could do anything that could hurt someone, he knocked her out.
Minho came towards him and you. Felix wanted to snarl at him for coming so close when his mate was hurt but he knew that he just wanted to help you. And you definitely needed that. Without moving you too much, your mate held you protectively in his arms as he ran through the woods to the cottage. Jeongin and Minho needed to get a closer look at the wound to treat you properly.
During the whole process, he sat beside you, holding your hand even though you wouldn't even feel it. But the warm skin against his soothed him even if you weren't awake. However, the skin contact reminded him that he hadn't lost you, that you weren't dead.
They got the arrow out and stopped the bleeding. With a bandage, they were finally finished and let Felix and you alone. You laid on his bed. Just weeks ago, he laid there too, with an arrow that you shot. But he wouldn't wanted it any other way. That way he got you and it was worth the pain.
When you woke up it was late at night, the moon shining through the window into the room. You felt something warm on your leg. It was Felix who slept tightly with your thigh as a pillow. Your whole body hurt but you were fine. But where was Lila? Felix seemed fine. What happened?
But that were questions for later. You were tired and didn't want to wake Lix. Tenderly, you brushed his fluffy hair out of his face, gliding through the strands and playing with them. With your hand in his hair, the dark swallowed you once more and you fell asleep.
In the morning, you woke up again. Felix still asleep and it seemed that he didn't even move. You teased his hair once again, especially the strands at his neck. It was so long, already touching his shoulders. But he seems to be ticklish and squirmed away from your hand, nuzzling further in your skin. His eyes fluttered open and he yawned.
"You're awake." He stated, his voice still deep from the sleep. "How are you? Does it hurt?" He questioned and pushed himself up, sitting straight on the stool.
"I'm fine" you said with a smile and took his hand in yours. "But where's Lila?" His face darkened and he sighed.
"Chan knocked her out and brought her here. We figured out that she is dangerous for us"
"I know. Can I see her? I need to speak to her"
"Are you sure? You just woke up." He pouted, showing clearly that he wasn't agreeing to that.
"I need to" you answered and pushed yourself up. It hurt and only with the help of Felix you reached the room where Lila was. You opened the door and walked into the room, Felix fussing over you. He was like a mom, watching carefully over his baby.
Lila sat on a stool, on the table next to her was a plate with food that she didn't even touched. She looked up when she saw you. "Hey" you said. She looked exhausted and like she didn't even slept a bit.
"Y/n, you're okay?" she asked hesitant. "Yeah. Even though you need to work on your aiming"
She let out a laugh, clearly relieved that you weren't angry. "Why did you protect him?" She asked. You walked across the room, sitting down on the other stool and pleaded Felix to let you two speak alone. He wasn't a fan of that but agreed.
"He is my mate. And I know that this felt so wrong at first but he showed me that there are other things in life than just hunting. I liked the life of a hunter but I love the life here, with Felix. And this pack is caring." You explained.
"So, you are giving the life of a hunter up?"
"Yeah. And I hope you can understand me. I'm not saying that you should agree to me but at least accept it."
She gave you a heart warming smile and nodded. "I won't say anything to the nymphs. I want you to live a happy life" you returned the smile and took her hand. "Thank you, Lila"
You escorted her out of the cottage, saying goodbye because she will return to the temple. You hugged and watched her disappear into the woods. Felix came towards you, having watched from the house, and wrapped his arms around your waist, pushing his nose into your hair.
"I can smell your scent!" He exclaimed happily. You giggled. "Yeah, because I didn't take the potion to suppress it"
He wiggled further into your hair, smelling you. "You smell so good."
"You're silly" lightly, you pushed him away to shut up his pouting with a kiss. He was shocked at first, his eyes growing double so big.
"Was that a kiss? Do it again" he demanded and pursed his lips. You laughed and grabbed the collar of his shirt, pressing his lips onto yours.

“No, dipshit, I said orange soda, not lemon,” Jisung rolled his eyes dramatically as you showed him what was in your shopping basket.
“Shut up, they’re literally the same,” you fought back, not wanting to walk the full length of the grocery store again. “You’re lucky I’m helping you at all.”
Jisung smiled sweetly. “I am! What a bundle of joy you are, Y/N!”
You reached forward to smack him with the bottle, then, thinking better of the carbonated consequences, kicked his shins instead. “Fucking hell, Y/N,” Jisung whimpered, rubbing his leg. “Do you have to wear those platformed boots everywhere?”
You giggled and flicked a braid over your shoulder. “It’s part of my charm. And actually, they’re called stompers. My friend named them when I got my first pair of Docs as a kid.”
“The Monster Stomper 3000s,” a voice added from behind you. You squeaked in surprise and turned around, coming face-to-face with a boy with freckled cheeks, feline-like features and big brown eyes. A boy whose face you most definitely recognised, although his features had matured. Cheeks a little less chubby, making his cheekbones more prominent. Lips a little fuller, and his hair was now dyed a sandy blonde, the roots darkening.
“That’s actually the most appropriate name I’ve heard. Especially for a pair of footwear that seem to have caused me more bruises than a weapon of war,” Jisung nodded in agreement, then wandered off to the chip aisle.
The blonde boy was still staring at you, plush lips settling into a sweet smile. “I thought it was you, Y/N, then I knew it was you when you started talking about your stompers. I’m glad you didn’t forget.”
“It was pretty iconic of young Felix, to be honest,” you replied, smiling back. “Why are you back?”
Felix shrugged in Ji’s direction. “His birthday party. Didn’t he tell you? And also, I just missed it here. You never moved out?”
“The little fucker didn’t tell me. And nah, I didn’t want to,” you glanced at a now rather distant Jisung. “Close friends and stuff. I didn’t want to start over. How’s it in Australia?”
“It’s good to be back,” Felix said thoughtfully. “Nobody knows what stompers are, though.”
“Nobody here knows what stompers are either,” you giggled. Jisung started shouting something from across the store, and you rolled your eyes. “Birthday boy assistant’s duty calls. Sorry, Lix, I’ll see you at the party, yeah?”
Felix nodded and leaned in to hug you before you walked off. It caught you off guard, but you soon melted into his embrace; soft and warm and welcoming, just like he always had been. Your heart thumped a little louder and you swallowed before stepping away. “See you!” he smiled, not missing the pink flush that tinged your cheeks.
Lying face-down in your empty bathtub, Han Jisung was drunker than you’d ever seen.
It was now 5am, and everyone had, naturally, gone home. Although the party had been hosted at Jisung’s, you knew better than to leave him in his current state. He’d probably have found his way to yours regardless, and you didn’t need him wandering the streets. But as you glanced down, taking in his pink cheeks and soft snores, you wondered if you could’ve just left him to sleep in his own bed.
“I told him not to open that second bottle of soju,” Felix sighed, scratching his neck. “He’s really going to regret it when he wakes up.”
“It’s not really in Ji’s nature to listen, Lix,” you replied, resting your head on the blonde’s shoulder. “That’s one habit he definitely hasn’t outgrown since you left, and probably never will. It’s not your fault.”
Felix nodded, slumping a little further onto the cold tiles of your bathroom wall. You two had been sitting there like exhausted parents of a newborn, checking to see if Jisung woke up and cried, needed a drink of water or just wanted to be petted until he fell back asleep. But it had been almost an hour, and despite the occasional snuffle, he seemed out cold.
“I think he’s dead,” Felix remarked, prodding Jisung’s warm cheek.
“Don’t!” you half squealed, half hissed. “He might wake up!”
“What’s the problem with that?”
“Well, he’ll probably start complaining and need me to give him medicine and water and then he’ll start talking and you know he won’t stop,” you replied, sighing.
Felix smiled. “Isn’t he like that regardless of whether he’s drunk or not?”
“Pretty much. But I need a break sometimes, you know?”
“You sound like an overtired mum,” Felix chuckled. “We’ll leave him be.” He grabbed your hand and stood up, leading you towards the bathroom door.
You bumped against Felix’s chest awkwardly, your legs asleep from being on the floor a little too long. He caught you, slipping an arm around your waist. You paused, startled by the sensation, then glanced up at him. His eyes were sparkling, the way they always did, but there was some kind of an extra shine to them. You weren’t sure what it was, but you leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips, the way you’d been longing to do for so long. Since before he’d left. Since before you’d realised the intensity of your feelings for him. His lips moved against yours, softly, and when you pulled apart, you weren’t sure it had even happened at all.
You felt a dampness on your face, and saw a single tear roll down his freckled cheek. He was still smiling, his eyes shining.
“I really missed you,” Felix whispered. “A lot. I regretted going home a lot of the time.”
“I know,” you replied. “So stay this time. Even just for a bit. Please.”
Felix’s smile faltered a little. “I can’t, as much as I want to. Where would I live? What would I do?”
“You could stay with me, you know you could. Please, Felix. Everyone here loves and misses you. It’s your decision, but just think about it, yeah? Stay the night at least; you can decide in the morning.”
“Alright.”
The sun beamed through the kitchen window, and the soft, sweet scent of pancakes filled the air. Felix was standing by the stove, an arm slung lazily around your waist as you stood beside him, cutting strawberries. You popped one into his mouth, and before you could grab one for yourself, found his lips pressed against yours, the same way he’d kissed you countless times this morning.
There was a sudden thump and a whine, and the both of you sprung apart and turned around. Jisung, hood skimming his squinted eyes, cheeks still flushed and body slouched, was sitting at the bottom of the staircase.
“Where the fuck did you two go? And what’s Felix doing here? I thought your flight was this morning.”
“It’s just now, actually,” Felix said with a smile on his face.
Lee Felix was staying. You weren’t sure for how long, but he was here.
He’d told you he’d be here for as long as you’d have him, and you were pretty darn sure that would be forever.
