But those questions would have to wait, because the Ace-Ops were off-duty, tonight, and Clover was planning on spending his evening doing something he’d wanted to do for months: taking Marrow out to a nice, fancy dinner date. He stood in front of the full-sized mirror in his apartment, fidgeting with his tie. It was strange to be wearing sleeves after so long without them. He’d foregone a suit jacket, at least, opting for a vest, instead, and the combination seemed to work. He thought he looked snazzy, anyway.

Working on the “Clover takes Marrow on a fancy dinner date” fic that @feloosha wanted to see. ;)

MARROW TEACHING CLOVER TO DANCE I'M GONNA CRY. Omg I'm so excited. And when they go out to dinner Marrow is unsure of how he looks in a suit or w/e and Clover is like *wink* lucky u I have the perfect accessory and gives him his pin HFSDODFJ and maybe someone makes a comment about a faunus being in a fancy restaurant and Clover is like oh HELL NO. Okay I'll stop now omg I love this ship ;_;

Please never stop this is amazing.

Currently the issue with the fic is whether or not it dissolves into smut in the training room because Clover is that determined not to make a fool out of himself. So it’s either cute and fluffy, or delightfully smutty. We’ll see how it goes.

And yeah! I was definitely planning on tackling the faunus thing in the dinner fic. God, Clover giving Marrow his horseshoe though. That’s so good. I’m so excited to work on this.

And I’m so excited to hear more wishbone stuff! I love our dorky ship!

Here, have a long one. From the opening chapter of Various Storms and Saints (coming to AO3 in 2020).

Two weeks ago, James had been named headmaster of AtlasAcademy and general of the Atlesian military. He’d been given one of the twoseats his predecessor, Headmaster General Argent Silver, held on the Council,with Argent continuing to hold the other for the time being.

Two weeks ago, his entire life had changed forever, and, inless than a month, the new school year would begin in Atlas Academy. He hadless than four weeks to write an entire objective list for the year, to figureout initiation, and to do whatever else he had to do. He presumed it was quitea bit, but he’d yet to sit down and figure out the exacts.

With all that in mind, he really should havebeen back in Atlas, working. However, when Ozpin called, James knew he had to sayyes. Not just because Ozpin was a fellow headmaster – something incredibly oddto say, in his opinion – but also because he deeply respected Ozpin. They hadbeen headmaster at Beacon while James was a student in Atlas Academy, andthey’d been a close friend of Argent as long as James had known the man.
