All hail the Sharpshooter!
A LONG while ago I posted my paper sketch of a Lance wearing feminine clothes. I apparently drew it to cope with dysphoria. The idea was based on the headcanon of a Trans!Lance (FtM) who is fond of ‘feminine’ clothes. I loved all the content of that kind which I could find online so I did create my own to deal with dysphoria.
Well, I did start to digitalize it a long time ago. I never got very far. While I finished to improve the sketch’s anatomy digitally, I never got to lineart. BUT!! When I had no idea what to draw, and then stumbled over a Lance fanart with freckles, I suddenly remembered the sketch.
And so, I redid the sketch again and this is the result:
I don’t regret at all that I colored the lineart. It kind of makes it look... even softer than it already is. The freckles are rather invisible of not zooming in on his face or body, but I like it anyways. I am most proud of this though because I never used a reference for this. Not for the original sketch, and not when I digitally redid the artwork! :D
I suffer from a state VERY close to aphantasia, meaning I can’t really imagine anything in front of my inner eye. I can’t plan art in my mind. I have to scribble on paper to get a rough idea of stuff. Most of my art is based on references OR muscle memory. So that’s also why most stuff is same pose, same body type or same expression/angle. I should really practice some more for more muscle memory XD
BUT!! This one was entirely without refs so I’m proud both of anatomy as well as clothes hehehe! X3
