“i don't understand why you spend so much time with him…” ferdinand grumbled quietly, the second hubert left the two of you alone.

ferdinand and hubert never really got along and especially not since hubert and you had recently been growing closer, since hubert started to tutor you in magic.

“he's been helping me keep up with magic. he's the best mage in our class, so he seemed like a good pick for it.” you explained to ferdinand, before a little grin snuck onto your lips and you teasingly added: “why? are you jealous~?”

it was only meant as a joke, but the second you saw ferdinand's reaction to your words, you knew you were spot on!

“jealous–!? m-me? ha-ha… never–!”

ferdinand couldn't even look at you as stuttered out his obvious lie. quickly, you felt bad about teasing him about it and gently cupped his cheeks, making him look at you.

“hey, look at me.” you softly said and smiled at your boyfriend. “i'm yours and nobody can change that.”

ferdinand sighed softly and wrapped his arms around, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck, as he mumbled:

“just… don't leave me for him, okay?”

you tightened your grip on ferdinand, hugging him as tight as you could. you knew your boyfriend was sensitive, even if he didn't like to show it. seeing him this upset was quite heartbreaking.

“don't say that, ferdie. i would never leave you, i promise–!”

Things I did this week: made a new acquaintance in the face of Ferdinand Kingsley, who so graciously not only entertained us (me and @swirlingthings ) for two hours with his breathtaking performance in "The Comeuppance" but also stayed behind 10 minutes (even though he was running late for another appointment) to chat, take an excruciating amounts of pictures and scribble on my beloved Issue #52 (I had to explain myself again as to why he is signing next to Nuala but he now knows Nuala president and some other fun stories)
