And you just stay there?
Surely you can do better?

UGH
Tristan laughed, his eyes flashing as Fernand pinned him to the wall. They were both helplessly drunk and he was enjoying the open violence between them. “You’ve got me right where you want me,” he taunted him, “what are you going to do now?”
DONT
Tristan looked down into his friend’s dark eyes, a sadness in his own. “Fernand, I have to go,” he told him firmly, although there was a hint of emotion that crept into his voice. “Alexandre needs me. He needs me at the front. I need to protect him.”
UGH
Antoine smiled, his eyes meeting Francois’ little son’s. “So much passion. I can see why you’ve kept to your mission so long. Still, boy, I don’t think I’m the one that you mean to kill. We’re on the same side, you and me.” He stretched lightly against the wall, completely at ease with a blade to his throat. “You’re a slow learner, but you’ll get there in the end.”
DONT
Send “DONT” to pin my muse against the wall to prevent them from LEAVING
“Fernand!” She fought against his grip as he pinned her against the wall, for once being the voice of reason between the two. She glared at him with a mix of fury and sympathy, the realization of what he just told her beginning to dawn on her. He was the Cardinal’s man now. “You can’t keep me here forever and nothing you say or do will stop me from killing le fils de pute one way or another.” She took a deep breath and stared up at him, forcing herself to calm down. “He won’t get away with what he did to you.”
△ how often do you see the faces of the men who died protecting you?
“And how often do you see the faces of those who died because of the fruitless cause you convinced them to believe in?” He questioned back, calmly. “You know the answer, Fernand. Those who died under my command, and those who died fighting for our causes, they went in knowing what to expect, or they should have known better. Grieve not for the dead, but for the living. They are the ones that are still bound to all the cruelty.” He does, however, still dream of them.
Rating: 11/10 Because Fernand.
👀 Val
Tristan raised an eyebrow at the Red Guard lieutenant, uncertain if he was actually meaning to be flirtatious. “When I said I’d duel you in swords, this wasn’t precisely what I meant....”
