festum by Skirill
Just a Festum kid with his Festum onesie!
It was a while since I drew Misao in a “serious" way.
As The Kindly One continued to speak, their sweet breath invading Johnny’s nostrils, he found himself seeing shapes above him, making out details where there appeared to be only empty space before. It horrified him, the idea that he might be seeing features of the creature above him, and yet he couldn’t look away. Soon he could see moving pink lips, full curves of flesh that bordered square, brilliantly white teeth.
Finished @twfaison‘s Festum last night and HOT DIGGITY DANG, The Kindly One was creepier this game than the last. Love love love this series, and can’t wait for the next one! (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑
Look what came in the mail today! I got my print copy of Festum by @twfaison. The cover looks great, the illustrations that @blupainter did for the section breaks are absolutely charming, and of course the story is fantastic. The Kindly One is as horrifying as ever in this tale, but this time it's set in Chicago during the prohibition and has some of history's nastiest, sneakiest, and cleverest mobsters of all time as pieces on The Kindly One’s chessboard. There's romance, suspense, horror, epic fights against things both human and inhuman, and a voice that almost no one can resist. Festum is my favorite of all the books in The Cycle so far, and definitely tops Rex Monstra. I love characters in both books dearly, but The Fox and his wife Anne will forever be my favorites.
