Male Shez from Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes!

First time doing lineless art style so it looks so good in result!!!! Also I made a ZZZ 2025 Calendar artstyle because I got inspired by most of these ZZZ calendar wallpaper!!!

You said you haven't played a full route in Hopes, but how far have you got? Far enough to meet Byleth and form an opinion on Shez?

In Golden Wildfire (which I picked mostly because of Claude) I got about as far as maybe chapter 6 or 7? I only encountered Byleth in the beginning, fought the first battle against Shahid, had Shamir join the party, and recruited a couple of the black eagles (Bernie and Linhardt). Balthus got killed before I could recruit him and that’s actually what made me wanna stop playing because I want to recruit all of the ashen wolves!

I like Shez! They bring a certain Everyman perspective to the game that I appreciate. I unlocked the fluegel class and learned a few combat arts. Arval is also intriguing. He sounds kinda like a Simpsons character.

I also got to a map with Jeralt on it and got to hear some of his banter with Leonie, which I enjoyed! Also the Gatekeeper is at the encampment, Bernie is hiding under some sort of woodpile, and Lysithea finds the word “canopy” to be hilarious, which I never saw coming. So far my proudest achievement was telling Marianne a joke that made her laugh during an expedition.

So why haven’t I finished 3 Hopes? Well aside from Balthus getting himself killed, I just don’t like that style of gameplay. I don’t like the button-mashing or the constant changing of victory conditions. I’m playing it on the easiest setting possible because I only care about the characters and the lore (just like I said to the guy at GameStop 3 years ago!) but I just can’t keep mashing those buttons. It drives me insane to have to switch between characters because one of them is about to get killed. It’s a totally different pace than 3 Houses and it’s just not for me.

Add to that all of the people online who are saying that “Hopes Claude” disappointed them because he doesn’t act enough like Houses Claude….

You know what, friend? I’m just gonna stop complaining and bite the bullet. I’m gonna finish the doggone thing, even if it’s just Golden Wildfire! Maybe then I won’t be terminally online and getting into fights with people on this app.
