Rydia: During Final Fantasy VII, the player learns the Mako Reactor explosion killed most of the townsfolk. The explosion was said to be caused by the original AVALANCHE.

Rydia: i think it'd be a pretty fair fight? cloud has the edge in taking out silver haired people, but raiden apparently doesn't even require arms to fight

Laughing a whole lot at Past Me right now.  I just found a passage I wrote about my headcanon for Golbez (his name is Zik, damn it), where he speaks in "Lunarian," which is actually Al Bhed, and talks about how when Lunarians die, they return to the Planet.

I forgot how long my "no but FF4 and FF7 are TOTALLY connected" thing dates back.  I have no idea when I wrote this, but Past Me definitely picked up on the Lunarian/Cetra similarities, not to mention the Giant of Bab-il/WEAPON and the Tower of Bab-il/Northern Crater similarities.

I mean, I know FF4 and FF9 are the ones with the most similarities, but goddamn it, if I want Midgar to be built where Mysidia is, then I'm gonna do it.

Last night I came up with an idea for an AU where Genesis and Sephiroth are really terrible neighbors in an apartment complex, and after thinking about it all night and into this morning, I realize I ship them in a very black/hatemance/rivalry sort of way.

Now I want to write this terrible AU, including Sephiroth playing terrible bagpipe music very loudly whenever he is out, and Genesis vacuuming at 2 AM and Sephiroth purposely knocking Genesis' artsy nameplate on his door slightly askew and Genesis wiping his feet on Sephiroth's welcome mat, etc.  Then they meet each other outside the apartment, hit it off, decide to go on a date, all while never realizing that they are neighbors because they've never seen each other before.

The problem is--what are their day jobs?  Sephiroth is probably some sort of g-man or a cop or something, and Genesis is some sort of thespian, most likely.
