so one of the side effects of the mako procedures that everyone in SOLDIER underwent is that if you focused really hard, you could make the mako in your eyes glow. (like, actually, vibrantly shine, not just the inate glow usually associated with mako eyes) no one could hold it for more than a few seconds without getting a wicked migraine

so, of course, when we were like 15, zack was once out of commission for two whole days because he wanted to make his eyes glow for a full minute.

(and no, he did not succeed. he hit maybe 15 seconds, which was still impressive. and i know he would've kept trying if angeal hadn't given him hell for it lmao) -kunsel, ff7

I'm never going to see any of my friends again, am I? Tifa, Barrett, Red, Aerith, Reeve, Yuffie, Zack, Vincent, Cid... Aerith's Mom, Marlene, Bugenhagen, Biggs, Wedge, Jessie... Sephiroth... the leader of Tsunami... all of Barrett's summons... uh... Dolphin Blow guy? I was a friendly guy. Anyways! I'm from a comedy spinoff! Canon Tifa is so... nice! So even talking to regular sourcemates, it'd be... strange. Not right.

But they're gone, and they're never coming back.
