If you remember a timeline in which Marlene was an experiment broken out of a lab by AVALANCHE and adopted by Barret, who lost his arm in the war with Wutai and used to work for Shinra, hello. Marlene had odd powers like mine, affected by emotions. I kidnapped her once, briefly, to get the protagonist gang's attention. She and I just talked, had dinner, she stuck flowers in my hair, and we played a board game of some kind, in the abandoned church I was staying in, possibly the same church Aerith visited. Cloud showed up to pick miss Marlene up, and she hugged me before leaving.
